a race start..

I was suppose to do a race up in Lowell this morning. But I went out last night and stayed out later then planned. A few more beers then planned. Had to sleep it off...

Oh well, there's plenty of other races this year.

Well, if it was worth it, good. There will be other races.

I've never missed a whole race, but I've missed the start of a race. Spent the first two miles catching up to everyone else. It was funny as all, but not a good race

If it makes you feel any better...a friend of mine signs up for the Marine Corps Marathon every year. On the day of the race, her husband turned off the alarm clock and they overslept! She never made it to the starting line. Instead, she went out and ran 30 miles. If it were me, I would have been pretty mad at hubby....

I missed a race start last year when I showed up a 7:15 for a 7:30 start that was actually 7:00. I managed to catch the BOP and not come in last place. I almost killed a couple of people milling around near the chute not expecting someone to come flying into the finish that late in the race.

Chris, there's a 5 miler in Lowell next Sunday that I'm doing if you want to add a race. Beer available after (based out of an irish pub).
