<p>If you were to fly to Vegas you could pretty easily take a jaunt over to Death Valley and Joshua Tree NPs. Knowing you guys, you could probably also squeeze in a trip to the northeast of Vegas to see the Grand Canyon and maybe even Zion NP.</p>
OT - Trip to West No. whatever - Southern CA version
<p>You guys gave me some seriously good tip in the past for my preparation to the West coast. PNW was great last year, N. CA was wonderful this past summer. Now I am looking at Souther CA (Death Valley, Joshua NP, etc). Due to its location/weather, the hope is to visit there during the Easter break, probably 7 days. DH and my wishes are enjoying the natural beauty in those NP with min. amount of whining from the kids. Kids' wishes are visiting big cities & cool sites (i.e. San Diego, LA, maybe Vegas). What would be the ideal flying into/out of locations? And must-see/do spots/activities? </p>
