Here is a topic some of you can jump in and help! We are planning to head to Orlando 12/17 to 23, 4 full days there, taking advantage of the 1 day ticket at the Disney World we won at the school auction. What is the best way to spend the 4 days? We are so not 'Disney' type of people, and have been there just once when the kiddos were like 3&5. Having said that, kids (10 &12) want to visit Epcot center and Magic kingdom. Ok.... and maybe Universal Studio. The whole Disney ticket thing is so complicated. There are too many websites/guide books. What are the highly recommend attractions there these days?

Kenneday Space Center would be cool to visit again, now kids are older and understand more. We've been to a few Sea World so w could pass that. Any other interesting things/places to visit?

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

They are probably getting too big for Magic Kindom at this point. Epcot would be good, for a day I'd say.

I suspect 12/17 is start of winter break for many and therefore that means crowds bigtime.

If you go to any disney park, look over the map before you go and figure out what you want to do. Go directly there when you get in and get a FastPass - which tells you when you can return and cut to the front of the line. Then go off and enjoy the park until your time and viola! skip the line. Repeat as needed but there are limits, it will tell you when you can get your next FastPass somewhere else. Great way to be certain to hit the key rides, especially if they are uber-popular (like Soarin'). My guys loved TestTrak SO much we did it 3x last trip, maybe 5x the prior. Mission Space is awesome, not usually much of a wait. The interactive stuff in Innovations is great and since it's mostly self paced, you're not standing in lines. I hate lines.

We've been to Disney at least 1x/yr if not more for last 8 years. Great Grandma lives nearby, so that helps a lot So ask away we'd be happy to help. Non-disney, except Gatorland I cannot really say. That was actually a riot. So NOT Disney, but really amusing if the kiddos like reptiles (the rides were really weak) but the gators - very cool.

Oh, and book dinner before you go. Like now. Might be too late for the best places. We love Morroco (there are like 12 "countries") but I must say I was utterly dismayed at the price for dinner. EVERYTHING is expensive at Disney, but this was just even moreso. Great food, no question and service was bar none - but you pay for it.
