A real metal pad to play Dance Dance Revolution with.

I'm really good at it for some reason, and it kept the freshman 15 off in college...for a couple hundred bucks, I'll burn more calories (in a more fun way) than I do at the gym...

If you use it, I don't think it's silly. If you buy it, use it once, and then put it away forever, that's silly.

Yeah, I agree!

It's the most 100% perfect indoor exercise for when it's nasty out or just can't go anywhere, and so fun, and the songs are great...and it both impresses and scares people at the same time.

Heh. My DH loves it. I like it, too, and we had the squishy type pads until we gave our PS2 to my nephew for Xmas. If they make it for the wii, I'm sure we'll end up with it.

I've had a few plastic mats, but you can't do the hardcore songs on Heavy/Maniac mode with the plastic mats, unfortunately. If you really like it, you should try foam maybe---you can really do more with it!

It's waaaaaay nicer and better than the plastic mats.

However, you could just Mod your plastic mat (Usually I see it done with wood) for pretty much all the benefit of a metal pad) for like $50 and just a little bit of time/work.
