Fage Yogurt

I just mixed a 25 calorie packet of hot cocoa into it and I think I have found a new addiction...it is better than pudding!

The yogurt itself is the best yogurt ever....so thick and creamy and unbelievable

I adore Fage. I've tried some other brands (Oikos et al) and it's just not the same.

just to clarify, I used hot cocoa mix (the Fat free kind in the little packets). It was sooooo good! My friend does chocolate protein powder in hers, but I am not real big on protein powder and the yogurt is loade with protein anyways.

Is Fage the actual brand name? Any kind of greek yogurt is hard to find around here--I think I found some in Springfield (55 miles away) and it was something like $3 for a 6-oz. container. I think I found the Oikos brand. Is that a typical price for this stuff?

i eat mine with cherry preserves or a little grade B maple syrup. mr. poo picked up two big tubs (whole milk - tasty!) while at the market, today ('cause he's a peach).

schiller... oikos is imported and distributed by stonyfield in the states. i do not like it as much as fage, but it's good.

and, yes. it's expensive.

I heard the whole milk stuff is like AMAZING...but, alas, I eat the fat free, which still tastes like I am eating something Cheatworthy!

I have to be honest here, I do not know. When Snooze and I made our budget, that was my rule. Groceries do not have a budget. I buy the good stuff when I want it and whatever else I want at the store, with the understanding that we must eat it. I buy storebrand when it doesn't matter and save when I can. But, for me, good food has no price. I will look at the store today and report back, ok?
TRUST ME!!! Let me know what you think, Anna!

I am the same way. I spend A LOT, and i mean A LOT on groceries for just myself, not even including DH! It is an investment in my health, my life, and my future. You really are what you eat. BUT we also almost never eat out, so that frees up some money that others may spend on dining out.

mmm, fage yogurt is one of my favorites too. I usually like it with a dollop of strawberry preserves on top (tastes even better if you don't mix it in, but just eat layered). I've tried the oikos vanilla flavor, which is pretty good, but too watery; sometimes it kind of grosses me out even though it's delicious.
