I figured I would start a thread for this because there are quite a few of us going (whether cheering or racing). I thought it would also be a great place to plan meet ups, etc.<br><br>
Who's going to the trials? Who's racing? When are you getting into the city?<br><br>

I'll already here/there! Planning to get into the park early on Saturday morning and secure a choice viewing spot either just south of the reservoir or just north of it, on the interior of West & East drives to maximize my viewing pleasure of them hottie men racers!

Still working on the details, but I am hoping to hang somewhere near the finish area on marathon day. Not sure I'll be up there for the trials on Saturday... Can't wait to cheer on Larry, Maria, and Pacer (as he whoops Lance's ass! <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.kickrunners.com/forum/images/smilies/biggrin.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="Very Happy"> ) What's everyone else's Sunday plan? I want to meet up!

I'm pretty sure she's talking about me...I'm racing Sunday, not Saturday! With any luck, all the top Americans will be in the Trials so I could maybe score some cash as the top American male in the NYC Marathon! Lance will have to settle for 2nd place...

OK - trials start at 7:35 a.m. Am thinking that we need to have some spots picked out around 6:45-7:00 at the latest. I'm ready to get up early, armed with massive amts of coff-ay, to stake out a claim.

Did a little logistics check over the weekend on my runs in the park - think being north of the reservoir will give us better vantages from both sides of the course. Only prob with this is that we'll have to really high tail it back and forth. It's not far but those guys will be flying and we'll be really close to the northern end of loop they're running.<br>

Are you sure you want to be running back and forth the day before doing your own marathon? Does it make sense to just stake a spot and hang there? They'll pass by, what, 5 times?

I usually like to run a few miles very easy the day before a marathon anyway so I'm OK with a little jogging to watch the race. If it's too far or we have to haul too much ass, I might just park it somewhere.<br><br>
Reminder - I'm coming in with a bunch of the pacers so I'll call Maria and/or Tom when I get to Central Park and we can try and connect. If for some reason we do NOT connect during the race, is everyone up for grabbing an early lunch after the Trials? Who's heading back to Phillay right afterwards?
