Anyone have any ideas?

Odd question. Years ago. I mean YEARS. This was the mid-1980s. I was watching, in fact, even TAPED (no, I don't have it anymore, otherwise I wouldn't be asking) a segment on MTV where Elvis Costello was the guest VJ (yes, kiddies, they used to play music on MTV), and there were some very interesting bands/videos he picked. This was back in the days of Adam Curry, Downtown Julie Brown, Mark Goodman, and girl next door Martha Quinn.

One of the songs was Johnny Rotten's group Public Image Limited's Rise (which at the time, sounded, to me, SO EDGY, but now sounds so tame/lame/boring).

But he had a few other bands and songs that I thought were good (at least then). I'd like to revisit them.

Anyway, I'd love to find that broadcast again, and, especially the videos. Or, at least, a listing of who was on. MTV's website is no help. The search comes up with nothing. And there is no way to send an e-mail to the staff. yeah, I could drop something on one of the blogs, but I'd rather not. Elvis' site had no place to ask questions either.

A regular old google search isn't turning up anything.
