1. Why do you run? ...I run because I started running in middle school. Over the PA came an announcement to run cross country, so I gave it a shot. I was pretty good, so I kept running. Outside of my injury streak, I haven't stopped.

2. What is your greatest accomplishment? ...My greatest running achievement is running 35:54 in a 10k...My greatest overall achievement, now that's a hard one...I could say graduating high school, but that was expected...Not dying yet?

3. What is your motto/theme song? ...Loneliness of the Long Distance Runner -- Iron Maiden

4. How do you deal with bad runs? ...I get pissed off. If I'm having a bad run, I don't walk, I just stop. A bad run is a bad run for a reason, so I stop and try again the next day.

5. Do you reward yourself for good runs? How? ...I do not reward myself for good runs, because outside of when I have a bad run, every run is a good run.

6. Who do you admire most? ...This is another tough question. I would probably have to say my dad. I can count on him and trust him more than most people.

7. What is the greatest advice you have ever received? ...Learn at least one thing from every person you encounter.

8. What do wish you had learned younger? ...How to work with computers (ie. programming)

9. What do you wish you could do but can't? ...Dance (well)

10. How would your friends describe your personality? ...Attempted. I am still learning how to handle social situations. I still stick my foot in my mouth a lot.

11. What do you wear running? favorite outfit? ...When running, I wear as little as possible to stay comfortable. I have been known to wear running shorts and a thin long sleeved t-shirt when it is in the teens. My favorite outfit...well, I used to hate dressing up, but now I look damn good in a suit...so I'd say a suit.

12. What has been your favorite race? ...My favorite race would have to be the Footlocker Midwest Regional. A very hilly course, almost always extremely muddy and intense.

13. Do you have a goal race right now? ...2010 Oklahoma City Marathon...2009 Sooner State 12k...2008 OCU Race with the Stars...

14. What makes you happy? ...Being with two really good friends of mine, I always have a good time with them...anything related to the weather...running...and baking...

15. Tell us one interesting thing about you that you haven't said (at least not often) on this forum in the past. ...Yikes. This is possibly the hardest question. I have almost been sucked into a tornado.

16. Tell us one interesting thing about another user of this forum that has not been posted (at least not often) on this forum in the past (make sure the other person will not object to posting the info!). ...I will not name names, but I know someone who is somewhat engaged.

I love to bake. Last month I baked a cake for a friend, on Wednesday, I baked cupcakes for my friend's roommate, I'll be baking Christmas cookies before too long, as well as cinnamon rolls, and mousse.

That 10k time is my high school's record. I ran it at cross country camp on Mackinac Island before my senior year. We always race a 10k during camp, and I was in control from the start of the race. I didn't have anyone within 4 minutes of me.

The tornado story:

March 28, 2007, there was a tornado outbreak across the Western and Southern Plains. I was chasing in the Texas panhandle, and at one point, found myself directly between 3 tornadic supercells. I looked all around me and all I saw were wall clouds.

Later, I was driving down a dirt county road, that was flooding on the edges. There was a tornado off to my west (I later found out it was rated an EF3). I could feel the winds from it pulling me towards the west. Needless to say, I booked it out of there.

I'll be making some sugar cookies this week for my Christmas party this Friday. I may do cinnamon rolls, but I do not have a mixer with a dough hook, so I might have to make the dough by hand.
