There will be a pre-race party at Perk Place Cafe in Titusville at 3:00 PM on Friday the 15th of October.
All are invited.
Will down a beer or three, and some snacks before Tom Jennings does his thing with the pre-race briefing and dinner.

The 50K has been sold out for a long time.
You might try and send a note to Tom Jennings and see, but with only a week or so to go it may be a little late.

He posted the other day that there were a couple of 50K spots available, definitely email him. You should go then hang out with me and Zoe (who are crewing) after <img alt="" src="http://files.kickrunners.com/smilies/lol.gif" title="">

getting an 'official' 50K in there somehow ... i saw that post about the spots but it sounded like you had to register online by last sunday. i;ll shoot

yes!!!!!!!! Do you want me to PM you my cell #??? Though DH and I may switch phones, since he has an iPhone and probably does not want to be lugging it all around, LOL.

woohoo ... I hope to meet meri, zoe and chupa ... and though I was at the same race with RUNNYTRAILS I didn't get to meet her this spring ... soooooo ...
 
jim ... hubby and I will be heading in early Friday so I'll ask him about the meet-up ...

.... soooooo ... <img alt="" src="http://files.kickrunners.com/smilies/love5.gif" title=""> i'll be looking for ya at either the S/F after the 1st 50K or at the AS 2 turnaround after the first 25K's as i wait for my runner, Sporti. I dont think i will be at the early start and You will be quite a bit ahead of us so I should get to see You while i am waiting <img alt="" src="http://files.kickrunners.com/smilies/blush.gif" title=""> !! 
 
Getting there early enough on Friday for the meet up is doubtful but ya never know <img alt="" src="http://files.kickrunners.com/smilies/dontknow.gif" title="">

if my lungs don't clear up from this killer sinus cold I may NOT beat your runner to the 25k turnaround even though I have an hours headstart! *yikes*
 
 
at this point I'm still planning on starting ... seriously hoping to finish ... but with no real milage since early August I don't know that I'm going to be able to do anything more than just try to make it the entire 62 miles and get that milestone under my belt, so to speak <img alt="smile.gif" class="bbcode_smiley" src="http://files.kickrunners.com/smilies//smile.gif">
 
 
I sure hope I get to see you ... is your runner doing the 100k or 100 mile?
 
I'll be staying overnight in Titusville on the 16th and hope to see some of the 100 milers come thru before and/or after I get some rest ... maybe I can see you after the race? The trainride is kind of fun, just sayin' <img alt="wink.gif" class="bbcode_smiley" src="http://files.kickrunners.com/smilies//wink.gif">

My runner is doing the 100K so you will start at the same time. You will definitely be at the 25K turn around or 50K point before us <img alt="" src="http://files.kickrunners.com/smilies/blush.gif" title=""> so i'll be lookin' for Ya. If
i happen to miss you then You can look for us at the finish if you are still hanging around. <img alt="" src="http://files.kickrunners.com/smilies/shock.gif" title=""> We will probably finish up with the 100 milers on Sunday mornin' <img alt="" src="http://files.kickrunners.com/smilies/shock.gif" title="">

won't you all be in for packet pick-up on Friday night? not that we'd have a LOT of time to visit but at least get introductions in?
 
 
I hope to hang around on Sunday after I awaken from my post-race coma but that will depend on how hubby's mom is doing ... she had a masectomy today but it went well and we think it'll be fine for us to be away over the weekend at this point ..

We are hoping to get there by race briefing, but it is going to be tight with time. We are leaving here around 1pm, I am working in the morning. We are picking up Altoids on our way too.

Same here Sporti. DH had surg & I am hanging out to seeing how's he's doing later in the week before i decide if/when and how long its ok to sneak away for. Still doubtful for the Fri night dinner thing or meeting but hoping to make it that evening some time. If not then i will shoot for Sat morning and just do 50K with my runner late Sat til early Sun. Where ya stayin' ? Meri ? Will you be crewing at both crew points Meri or camped out at one of them ?

We are staying at the Cross Creek Resort, crewing at both ends of the race.

We'll be at the Comfort Inn in Titusville this year ... last year we stayed all the way down in Franklin since I waited too long to set hotel reservations, haha
 
 
my hubby will be crewing me at Petroleum Center and the first loop back at the school and then pacing me from Petroleum Center back to the finish on my last loop <img alt="smile.gif" class="bbcode_smiley" src="http://files.kickrunners.com/smilies//smile.gif">
 
 
you'll probably be able to pick him out in the crowd fairly easily as he's tall (6'6") dark (hair is dark and he's tan) and very handsome (my opinion, but I am right <img alt="wink.gif" class="bbcode_smiley" src="http://files.kickrunners.com/smilies//wink.gif"> )
