Hello Chaps and Chapesses

Irunmike - I'm pretty much a 7 days a week trainer. Most weeks have 3 hard run sessions and at least 1 hard bike. The rest of my training is volume.

Today I was at the track for 5.30AM where I did 20 x 400 with 60 second recoveries. All reps between 69 - 78 seconds. In fact the last 10 were all between 69 - 74 seconds. This evening I have a 10 mile TT on the bike. Hard training rocks :¬)

Have a great day

Good morning Gobi and those to follow.

Gobi ref your workout this morning. I was doing those times in high school but couldn't even come close at my old age now. You're not the normal masters' runner. I enjoy seeing what you accomplish. Are you still running in K Swiss? My local running store is going to pick them up I think. I'm suppose to get a trial pair in the next few weeks. Been running in the NB 890; Nike Glide, and Brooks Silence. I like all three of them right now.

Good to see HappyFeat getting some rest.

Any news on Pickles' tests yet?

7.25 moh this morning. No rain in sight yet for the next 10-14 days. Heat index today suppose to hit 110. Almost 10 inches behind in rain so far this year. All sorts of records being set and our lakes (drinking water) are shrinking pretty quickly now.

ks - are the stores able to keep bottled water on the shelves? Hoping you get some rain soon.

I ran a 10 mile tempo t oday and nailed it!.. I think... Last time I saw my garmin was when I turned it on and placed it on DW's hood to warm up. 10 minutes later she had left for work and I was standing there nakid. Couldn't find it on the local streets leading to the highway. I'm bumming a bit.

But the run was fantastic.

Nice run Mike.

Sorry 'bout the garmin. One of my training partners a few years ago had an incident with his garmin that in retrospect is humorous. He laid it on the drive way to connect with the satellites. His wife backed over it with her car on her way to work. An excuse to buy a newer model if you ask me. Maybe it's still on her car Mike. I noticed last week a car sitting at a stop light with a coke can sitting on the roof. By the time I noticed it; too late to tell them. Wonder how far that can rode down the road?

Never run in the kayanos or the the Nike free. The free might be a bit too close to barefoot for my body and style. I see Tiger Woods was wearing a Nike Free with spikes last Sunday playing golf?

Didn't catch Tiger's footwear, but he's a Nike guy alright.

I think I'll stick with the Garmin 305. It's relatively cheap now online, and I don't use anything more fancy than the autosplit and ocasionally the intervals setup. I haven't worn the hrm in weeks, but once in a while I like to see what the ticker is up to.

Still, what a waste of $130. Aggravating...

I so hope it's good news, tw. You two hang in there.

Good evening kicksters.

Looks like you are in great shape Gobi.

I am on a 3 day roofing bender again so no workout today. I may try to get in a run tomorrow evening.

14 hours of tear-off and I am still not done. Hoping I can get the rest done in 5 more hours and then I will

be ready to sheet the roof and shingle. It will be close if I can get it all done by friday evening but the weather

was fantastic all day. I also have a tree blocking the sun in the afternoon on this portion. Back muscles are screaming

but not anywhere near as worn out as I was last month when we were having KS weather.

Mike, It took me 2 years after coming back from my accident before I bought another Garmin. My old one had frozen up.

I would just mapmyrun but I love running with the garmin and am glad I got it.

Happy HumpDay Runners!

8 mile tempo run tonight went very well: After 2 mile WU, alternated next 5 miles at 10 and 9:50 mpm, then finished with 1 mile cooldown.

Quite happy with that.

(((Rip's back)))

(((Mike's Garmin!))) Happy you had a great tempo run too!
