Thanks to all 69 participants in the last VRAA round. I was thrilled to see so many people sign up, and double-thrilled that so many of you were so active throughout the 31-day march. It was nice to see y'all motivating each other. I know a lot of our participants did just a little more than they otherwise would have; I know I sure did. If the game did anything to entertain you, keep you going through a hot summer, grind out an extra mile for the team, cheer the heroes and hiss the villians, and help you get to know a few people you otherwise wouldn't have, it has served its purpose.

I have learned a lot about commissionering in my first go-around in that seat. I'm looking forward to a good -- a better -- game this month.

If you're in a grateful mood at all, be sure to direct some love to roots. He laid the infrastructure for this round; his encouragement and advice got me involved, kept me going, and got me through. Thanks also to rich and sierra for their support and encouragement (and to sierra for her frequent feats of workout badassery). And a special shout-out to first-time playas who pumped some freshness into the game, particularly the posse from The 30's who gave us scoring god CoachT and some of the most enthusiastic participants (and who got me into the habit of bolding names like a mad mofo).
