Good Morning,

Nice cool temps for a long run for me this morning, 58 degrees and only 88% humidity. I ran pretty well. Average pace of 8:55 for 15.09 miles. I put an extra water bottle on the course last night in case I needed it today, but I wasn't thinking last night and I put it at mile 8 instead of about mile 11. no big deal I just had to carry it more than I planned. Nice healthy (NOT) breakfast from McDonalds this morning, but boy it tastes good. Almost time to read the paper and then start chores.

BBS - Good luck with them Titans.

FB - Glad for cooler temps. Seems like you're really keeping those miles logged.

I certainly feel the effect of my first jaunt yesterday. Muscles are sore and tight. I guess another one should loosen them up, right?

Nice going folks. I got in 13 miles for my last re-taper longish run. 35F, sunny and a bit breezy. Boston jacket weather Waiting on race reports! Come on!

Nice running all!!! I was supposed to do a swim this morning before church. The alarm went off, thought about it briefly, quickly decided it's OFF SEASON, and went back to sleep! Church this morning. Bit of yard work early in the afternoon. Harvested the last of the tomatoes and peppers, os chili in the slow cooker! Therapy dog visit this afternoon. Will go to church this evening.

Another chilly fall day in pa. DD plans on trick or treating tonight but I am worried.... bunch of dressed up 18 yr old girls going out knocking on doors spells trouble. Another gray hair for me.

No run today but did take the pup for a brisk walk. Tomorrow will be early am run.

Hey all,

Sorry for the lengthy absence but with all that's been going on this weekend, I haven't been anywhere near a computer until now. And thanks to the "new and improved" KR I can't seem to post updates from my phone anymore...

Anyway, the MCM 10k this morning went pretty well, about as much as I could expect. My ambitious goal was to break 40 but I knew that would be tough. I came close though, going 40:45 on the day. Not bad considering my opening mile was a scorching 6:13. I need to read a manual on opening mile pacing. I hit 12:41 for 2 miles, but then it got tougher. I finally bottomed out with a 6:43 in Mile 4, only to fight back with a 6:35 in Mile 5, then 6:40 pace for the final 1.2. The good news I didn't feel like the run took much out of me. Going MP next Sunday should feel mighty easy by comparison.

Never did get to meet up with loopy and his brother. Hopefully they had a good run.

I'll do a full report tomorrow. Too tired right now after rising at 5am for all the festivities. It was a blast though.

4bm - love the pic!

apple - you changed your profile picture. In the last few years I've been on here I have always looked at the same profile pic.

Hawk - great job. Yes, MP is going to feel good. Keep saying that. "This feels good."
