.....again.<br><br><b>1. Why do you run?</b> There is a history of heart disease in my mom’s family and my dad died young (alcoholic) so I’m stemming the tide of bad genes with exercise. I ran in HS and I’ve always had the bug for competition although now I believe that running and the running community have become an important part of my life.<br><br><b>2. What is your greatest accomplishment?</b> I was the first one in my immediate family to go to college but I am fiercely proud of my blue collar background<br><br><b>3. What is your motto/theme song?</b> Varies…..but I do believe that you reap what you sow.<br><br><b>4. How do you deal with bad runs?</b> Write them down in the log and move on. I don’t have too many bad runs.<br><br><b>5. Do you reward yourself for good runs?</b> A good run is rewarding enough….all runs are followed with food and some with beer……<br><br><b>6. Who do you admire most?</b> Probably my mom and mrs oache. They are both very tough, driven and loyal. They give way more than they ask back and they’ve always supported anything that I’ve done.<br><br><b>7. What is the greatest advice you have ever received?</b> My first big boss told me that “you are employed here, but you work for yourself. Don’t ever forget that.” I haven’t and I’ve passed that one on quite a few times over the years.<br><br><b>8. What do wish you had learned younger?</b> To tell people how really special they are when you feel it. Don’t hold things back because later it may be too late.<br><br><b>9. What do you wish you could do but can't?</b> Re live the 2 weeks spent on cape cod with my college buddies after graduation.<br><br><b>10. How would your friends describe your personality?</b> Goofy, but in a positive, let’s do it, kind of way.<br><br><b>11. What do you wear running?</b> Tech stuff…..Asics….Garmin<br><br><b>12. What has been your favorite race?</b> Steamtown Marathon...twice. ran my first there and a BQ and ran my PR there the 2nd time.<br><br><b>13. Do you have a goal race right now?</b> Surf City on Super Bowl Sunday.<br><br><b>14. What makes you happy?</b> Lots of stuff, running, friends, football, music, beer, the PRT, and my family including my pooches.<br><br><b>15. Tell us one interesting thing about you that you haven't said (at least not often) on this forum in the past.</b> I have really grown to love landscaping and gardening over the last few years. I’ve gone from not knowing a dandelion from a daffodil to learning Latin names for many of the plants.<br><br><b>16. Tell us one interesting thing about another user of this forum that has not been posted (at least not often) on this forum in the past (make sure the other person will not object to posting the info!).</b> I’ll let them tell you all their secrets. Y’all are pretty friggin’ interesting though!!!!!!
