What do you mean by that? That I would rather be outside, where it's green and beautiful and the sun is shinning and the birds are singing than inside my freaking garage listening to Coach Troy who I just want to strangle!!!

My toes went numb this morning. I was on the trainer. I don't wear socks and my shoes have plenty of room. This is the first time it has happened. They always go to sleep on the elliptical but I've never had it on the bike.

I agree it is most likely a change in cleat position on your shoes, or if a completely different type of pedal (spd to look, speed play) then a completely different type of cleat(along with position) could effect how your feet feel. May want to double check this. If you never had it before, has to be related to the change.....JMHO

You have lost weight recently, right? I know it sounds odd, but your feet can lose weight too. Perhaps your shoes are fitting differently than they used to? Just a thought...It's probably a cleat issue though.

My toes always fall asleep too. I wiggle them periodically to get the blood flowing.

My right pinkie toe goes numb and then the whole part of my foot around that toe joint bruises sometimes after I ride. Some here suggested my shoe was too tight. That may be part of it, but I think (like CS said) my cleat is positioned wrong. That foot flares out a little, so probably I need to adjust the cleat. I have Speedplay pedals. Hope that helps.

For all you peeps that are saying your toes are going numb, you need to correct it, pronto. Your feet should not be numb at any point in your ride. Wiggling is not a correction. it might be treating a symptom, but is not curing the problem.

It sounds like you have a classic cleat issue. Which toes are going numb? Inside, outside. Are your shoes nippiing the crank arm? Are your knees comfortably straight?

If you dangle my shoes on my bike you will see the left shoe dangles straight, the right is angled slightly toe in. I'm much stronger with the left foot and my right plays catch up so it's always out of alignment. In order to straighten my knee, I had to toe in the shoe.

Play with the angles, SLIGHTLY move the cleat and then ride a bit. You should not be going numb at anytime. I suggest you try moving the cleat forward or backward before you try changing the angle.
