it was 30s with drizzle when I got out to The Track,

a TRAMPOLINE was sitting in the middle of the track......hmmmmm.....

since I couldn't pick it up

and had no desire to bounce,

I just left it the hell alone.

......using double braces

so they will NOT slip,

I worked on a crosscountry skiing rythm

(the poolrunning moves actually help for this)

used the stix on front-side-back position

depending on where I felt the Strain.....no cramping, no impact pain.

this will either become a National Trend

or

they may lock me up

======

...30min Track Run.....

it was WONDERFUL

"Not nice Sunday"????

Hiya TW

I am pleasantly tired this morning. 22.5 miles yesterday broken into a 15.25 and 7.25 mile runs. Ran 2 miles of the 7.25 at 6:53 and 6:42 so it was better than the morning run.

Resting today and watching the Jayhawks take down VCU (I hope)

Signed up for vraa but doesn't look like there is going to be enough people to make teams.

Several of my friends ran an unofficial race yesterday. It was between 66-68 miles unsupported around the bay and across the island. 80 plus degrees, humid, and strong winds. Glad I didn't do it.

eta: unsupported by organized race. support was furnished by friends and family.

Hi TW and KS

I ran a "test how hard I ran yesterday" run this morning. Hip flexors a little tight to begin but went medium effort for 9 miles

69 minutes 2% incline. Last 6 miles probably equal to about 7:00/mile pace. I will need an easy day tomorrow though.

Here is me finishing a 5k last weekend wearing my new bright orange Kinvaras and listening to some tunes. Pictures of Disco Dan haven't been posted from the race this weekend.

Love those shoes Rip. In your face shoes scare the carp out many competitors especially on mature runners. :) Can they really run fast enough to wear those shoes?

Of course when you wear a shirt and tie, have big headphones on and wrap your jacket around your waist, the runners look at you wondering why you are that close to the front at the start!!

(even though it took 11 seconds to get to the mat)

I even "chipped" 3 runners that finished just ahead of me including a girl I had no intention of trying to beat at the line with a wild sprint.

In high school, I had a fu-manchu mustache that I hoped would psyche out the other runners, especially the younger ones.

Evening all - well, today was another step on the recovery road, but coupled with a few beers as well (not the best for the recovery). No "official" run planned today, but it was planned to have a run with the Buenos Aires Hash House Harriers (to be fair, as usual), and I did just that.

It was a glorious day here, temperatures ideal for running, around the mid 20's C, and the trail went down to the river, and along a lovely path/walkway, before heading back towards the built up area. All in all the run was around 10Km - I ran the macho trail, and my legs are certainly feeling it now. I had wanted to run this "Macho" trail, and I am glad that I did, but I may not say that in the morning.

Hope everyone else has as much fun as I did.

Hi KS!

Rest day for me, with a bit of walking with my DH to check out the local greenhouse and then to the conservation area to see the swans that just made it north. A really ccccccold day, but gorgeously sunny!!
