Good to see happyfeat and liam posting again. Hope your feeling better liam.

15 degrees warmer this morning than yesterday morning. 72 and humid. 6 miles ez and 8 more tonight. Ran with another (or should I say I started with) one of our gals who is heading to Boston Saturday. She looked smooth and strong. I'm guessing sub 3:20. I ran recovery pace and kept her in sight.

2 X 2 mile at 6:45 pace tonight with 1 mile recovery between.

Today is my sweet dw's birthday. We'll celebrate with dinner with her family tomorrow night at a local eatery.

Ks Hippy Burpday to your dw, and enjoy tomorrow. It was my dp's last month (two days after mine) and we are finally getting around to having a parilla and friends over on Sunday to celebrate - Life's just been hectic! I'm feeling 95% better, still a little cough at times, but enjoyed the run last night, and looking forward to an easy run this evening after a couple of classes I have to do. We had a storm last night which cleared the humid air, and has seen the temps drop to a much more reasonable 18 today (mid 60's), although it will probably warm up a little as the day goes on. Will post my run later.... Enjoy all your runs today everyone.....

Hi Liam and Happyfeat

I still felt a little tired this morning so I did some work before running around noon. Felt sproinkier by then so I did a nice progression run going a little harder the last couple miles. 7:48 7:24 7:10 7:06 6:55 6:53 6:52 6:36 6:33. The last 7 miles were very hilly so it felt like I should have been going a little faster. My legs have been really aching lately so I think I may need a new pair of shoes. They were a little firm to start with so I may turn them into trail shoes. Easy day tomorrow followed by a hilly half marathon trail race in WV.

Forgot to mention the weather was incredible today. 60s with little wind and all sunshine!!

KS, just wanted to pop in and wish your DW a great year of racing including the half at Austin in January if she runs it, as long as she doesn't beat me too badly. If I'm uninjured then.

Been cycling up a storm and posting the miles in the weekly. So happy tomorrow is a rest day because my legs feel trashed.

Opie - you might get to meet her in a couple weeks.

Mike - I only run doubles once maybe twice per week. First run is always 5:30 a.m. No kids at home and dw runs about as much as I do; so no probs.

8 more miles tonight with 2 X 2 mile repeats at 10k pace plus 10 secs.

Happy Birthday to Ms. CCRunner (and I HAVE met her!). Hope it was a fun day for you.

I do a sort of doubles.... gym time with DH at lunch, and then a run after work.

Yesterday I ran 11.3 miles, all over the place with a couple out-and-backs, trying to avoid headwind as much as possible. Only partially successful.

But I did stop at the reindeer farm below my office on the way back to check out the newborn reindeer!

And here's one of the adults, looking a little annoyed that we disturbed their dinner....

Tonight's run was 5.7 miles on rolling hills with a stronger-than-expected wind from the north. Oh well, got it done... Might take a rest day tomorrow. DH and I have a hilly 5k on Saturday morning, but the course is still pretty icy so no PR effort this time around (not a PR course anyway).
