Up to this point, I've done the usual, build up, taper, race, recover. But this summer I am going for the Oregon Ultra series and have a race every month for three months, 50 m, 100k, 50 k. I'll need to shorten/eliminate the taper and recovery. I'm not sure how much buildup is realistic and or necessary between races. I'm hoping to remain competitive for these races to rack up points for the series. Advice?

Last year I ran 9 races in 10 weeks, which included 6 50Ks, 2 50Ms, and 1 100M the final week. I would say rest is super important between races, you want to make sure you do nothing during the week training-wise that will hinder your recovery. Rest is REALLY important, and don't be afraid to take as many days off as necessary to recover. Diet can help too, make sure you are eating a balanced diet that includes plenty of protein for muscle recovery and repair.
