Our water main broke on the "house side" in February. We had Mr. Rooter come out to fix it. They fixed it, but in the meantime, they broke our sprinkler system. So, they sent us money to pay for the sprinkler system. OK, all is well that ends well.

Except that the part that they fixed on the water main broke again this morning. I called and they sent the same guy over to fix what he'd fixed before. OK, it's good. They didn't charge me.

THEN, after having fed the Tot some formula and TinyE some water (that TinyE refused to drink...) I go take a shower. The water smells like chemicals, so I taste it and it tastes like sh!t...OK, not literal sh!t, but like nasty chemicals. I immediately get out of the shower and my skin breaks out in a red rash, my eyes are watering, I stink and I feel horrible. I call the lady at Mr. Rooter and explain this to her.

"Oh, we'll get you on the schedule and when someone is free, we'll come over and look at it."

I go ballistic. I don't normally give people a piece of my mind, but I told her that she must not have heard me correctly...that I had been feeding an infant toxic water and that I had no other water source and they needed to fix this fix of a fix NOW.

So they send the SAME guy over. He says, "Call the city."

I call to complain. "We'll send him back."

Um. No. Negatory. Not going to happen. Send someone who can at least SPELL chemical, please.

I'm SO irate, I'm going to throw my keys, so move out of the way, everyone.

ACK!

You would be amazed at how many morons are trusted to work in the service industry. Especially on your vehicles and home appliances. I've been in both businesses and I've met more Shit for brains techs than not.

If we lived closer, I'd send my DH over to fix your water line. I'm sorry you are having to deal with such horrible incompetence!

Definitely bottle that water!
So when they try to tell you that there wasn't anything wrong, you can throw it over their heads and THEY can get the damn rash!

Bottle it as evidence for the lawsuit. In fact, call someone about getting the water tested...

The EPA may know. My SIL works for them and I know she goes and tests water all the time. I don't know if they do it for private citizens, though. They might know who to call, though!

You are far more patient than I am. The *first* time they sent the same guy back, I would have called and complained (seriously? They only have ONE employee?!) BS! You may want to go to the Dr and get evidence of the rash, as well....

Good luck!
