I've never been able to get excited about NFL draft day. But I can't wait until the actual season starts.

Did you guys see the Canajun boy from the Okanagan that Phillie picked in the first round? He was a local firefighter. Didn't start playing until he was in his late teens/early 20's. Only 4th Canadian picked in the first round. Kinda cool.

Looks like the Saints will be losing Reggie Bush after drafting running back Mark Ingram. Bush has been hot and cold with New Orleans. There have been some games in which he really shined and I certainly won't discount his contribution to the Saints superbowl season. But at other times he hasn't quite measured up what the Saints were looking for in a running back. He just wasn't consistent enough and combined with his injuries I think he saw the hand writing on the wall.

I never thought of Bush as a real every down NFL running back. If the Saints thought that.....why? What he is is someone who does his best work out in space. He is one of the fastest backs in the league and can catch the ball. He's not a banger. Yes you do need to bang him in there once in awhile so the D can't just..."he's going out for a pass".

I keep him if he's not expecting every down back money. He does have that ability to score from long range any time he touches the ball. Not too many backs in the league with his long range speed.
