<p>Week 2 of the NFL preseason is mostly in the books.  Both the Falcons and Saints lost over the weekend.  The Falcons to Jacksonville Friday night and the Saints to Houston last night, 27-14.</p>

<p>I don't normally watch high school football games but 4 games were played at the Georgia Dome and televised on one of the local stations from 11:30am to 11:00 last night.  A couple of interesting games.  Lassiter beat number one ranked Brookwood  in the first game.  And in the 3rd game the McEachern Indians beat the North Gwinnett Bulldogs 26-17 with 10 seconds left on the clock after it appeared North Gwinnett had cemented their victory with a field goal a few minutes before which meant McEachern had to go the distance to win.  For icing on the cake North Gwinnett threw an interception which was returned for a TD as time expired.  Excellent game.  Of course, the fact the Indians were gold and white and beat a black and red team called the Bulldogs made me smile just a little. <span id="user_yui_3_3_0_8_131393986052114"><img alt="biggrin.gif" id="user_yui_3_3_0_8_131393986052113" src="http://files.kickrunners.com/smilies/biggrin.gif" style="width:16px;height:16px;"></span></p>

<p>Our H.S. teams final scrimmage was Friday night. The kids have been to 6 state finals in 11 seasons and are looking strong to contend again this year.  A handful of boys went on to play for some college teams, and now we have a young man in the NFL.</p>

<p>Glad the Buckeyes are rid of Pryor. Time for the team to accept punishment and begin to turn the corner.  Not an NFL fan. Grew up watching the Bengals, and I've lost all interest in supporting that trainwreck.</p>

<p>NHL pre-season is less then 1 month away. Can't Wait!</p>

<p>Florida HS football starts in another week I think.  I read the scores on Saturday morning for the local teams but I really have no clue who is good and who isn't around here.</p>

<p>I don't pay much attention to high school football games except for Tucker High School.  The games were mostly noise in the background with occasional interesting plays.   No college games  yet.</p>
