Guys - Good morning.<br><br>
Our developer will be available for our recommendations this week. I'm traveling tomorrow - but will contact him on Tuesday to see if he can implement your recommendations. IF timing is good - hopefully, the next beta test will begin by Christmas or shortly after.<br><br>
I'm still working on the integration to our site format. Once we get to that point, we should be good to go.. That will be the hardest part.<br><br><br>
In the meantime - let's begin listing the PRIORITY updates in this thread. As you list your recommendations - score the change:<br>
1. MUST - Absolutely essential<br>
2. IDEAL - Would be really important<br>
3. NICE - Would make log better but could wait though would want this<br>
4. COOL - If it can be done - do it, but not a deal breaker<br><br>
For example:<br><br><b>Recommendation:</b> KM vs MILES Indication<br><b>Priority:</b> Must<br><br>
This would be <i>your ranking -</i> if you disagree with someone else, just put your own priority on it in your thread.<br><br><br>

[Edit: I see this does this for other reports, I was looking at the shoes report, which seems to be the total overall. This should be labeled as such] I feel like that page's user interface could use some tweaking to make it more clear what you are doing there.<br><b>Priority:</b> Ideal<br><br><b>Recommendation:</b> In the "Shoes" tab, clicking on the name of a pair of shoes would show the total mileage for that shoe. I know this can be done via the reports page, but it would make sense to me to find it there.<br><b>Priority:</b> Nice

<b>Recommendation:</b> Display a "running total" for the current year, month, week on the initial view. This is something that the coolrunning log had that I liked, since it was a quick reality check without having to run a report.<br><b>Priority:</b> Nice

You may already know that. It's a great idea, too.<br><br><b>Recommendation:</b> An option for a report by "daily".<br><b>Priority:</b> Cool<br><br><b><span style="text-decoration:underline;">General</span></b><br><br><b>Observation:</b> Using the "Back" button puts one back on the login page. That may be by design, but is a bit annoying. If I can put in one request: I am a racewalker, so it would be important to me to have 'walk' as a workout option, and to have the log keep track of walking mileage as it will running mileage. It would be important also to be able to track walking and running mileage separately, since most racewalkers do both as part of their training.<br><br>

I was a long time user (8 years) of the CoolRunning log which I considered excellent.<br><br>
Musts:<br><br>
1) Ease of use. No more than a minute required to record a run (for us morning runners).<br>
2) The ability to see a week at a glance.<br>
3) The ability to manipulate the data for graphing purposes.<br>
4) The ability to download the data to a spreadsheet for backup.<br>
5) Shoe tracker mileage automatically updated.<br><br>
Ideal:<br><br>
1) It would be ideal if the log could be customized for individual runners. I liked all of the options that the CR log offered but didn't use them all. A menu of features you could choose from to generate your log would be excellent.<br><br>
2) The display of annual, monthly and weekly mileage totals on your login page was a good feature of the CR log. It was a great incentive to run.<br><br>

The developer has begun working on the recommendations - He's even registered at the site in case he has questions. <b>xeratek</b> is his user name.<br><br>
Expect to see the changes by the end of the year. Once these changes are implemented, I hope to have the log over to our server. We'll have you guys go through the log again and see where we're at.<br><br>
I would like a volunteer who would be willing to send us a coolrunning downloaded log so <b>xeratek</b> can use it as he works on the upload functionality. Once we get that working and the log integrated to our login system, the running log will be made available to all registered users.<br><br><br>
Continue posting your bugs/recommendations/wish lists in this thread.<br><br><br>

Hello everyone!<br><br>
I just wanted to let you know that several new features have been implemented. First, you now have the option of choosing miles or kilometers. You can set your preference in the "Preferences" tab. With each run that you log, you can also choose either option. For example, if you choose miles in the preferences, you can still log a 5K run.<br><br>
Second, each user now has the ability to add/edit/remove run types via the "Run Types" tab. The six that were previously available are added to each user's account as a default set.<br><br>
Third, below the calendar you will notice that the total distance year-to-date is listed in the format according to your preferences.<br><br>
Fourth, an additional column was added to the calendar which reports the total distance for the corresponding week.<br><br>
Finally, you can now choose whether you want the week to start on Sunday or Monday. This can be done via the "Preferences" tab.<br><br>
I am still working on all of the suggestions that everyone posted. I will try to update the run log site each time I complete a couple of updates. I am now posting the version number at the bottom right of the page. The new version is v1.2.
