Hi, friends. I'm flying to Israel on June 11 for two weeks, and given the craziness of overseas travel to a very security-conscious country, I have to get to the airport crazy early. The travel agent for the trip wanted me to take a direct flight to New York to reduce the likelihood that my bag would get lost. Very, very long story short, I land at Newark at 1:15 p.m. and don't fly to Israel until 11:30 p.m. We have a security thing at 6:30 p.m., but that still a long time to sit in an airport.

So, I was wondering, since June 11 is a Saturday, if any of the New York-area people wanted to meet me for a slightly late lunch in the city. It's a fun excuse to get together, and I will be entertained for at least some of my layover. Ideally, someone would meet me at the airport and help me get into the city, but I don't care where we go to eat or really what we do, as long as I'm back at Newark by 6:30. Also, I will have my luggage with me (probably).

If anyone's interested, please let me know. I know that a big chunk of a Saturday devoted to entertaining me might not be the most exciting way to spend your time, but I'd love to see as many people as possible (including maybe a baby).
