<p> Yeah.. so I know this is jumping the gun ( and a holiday or two.. ) but I just made plans for NYEve!  I never do anything very exciting.. in fact I believe it was just a few years ago when I lost track of time and realized the clock was ringing in the new year.. and <em>I was cleaning the toilet! </em></p>

<p>  I heard just this morning that the band Recycled Percussion was coming home to our area over the holidays, so I went online and  booked four seat for my family to a New Year's eve Concert. Psyched!  We saw them play at a street fair when they were in high school ( My 16 y/o was a baby then  !)  and I had it on my "to do" list for this year.</p>

<p>I have the day off work so will travel the 2 hours to see my family for the weekend.  My sister always has people over and we'll probably grill out and get the hottub going.  It will also be when I exchange Christmas gifts with my family, since on Christmas itself, I will be traveling back from a trip to California.</p>

<p>The Atlanta Track Club has a 5k or 10k (runner's choice) on Jan 1 at 12:20pm in Kennessaw.  I used to run it every year as it was free with our ATC membership.  But they started charging for it a couple years ago so I no longer run it.  I noticed the price is up to $25.00 now.  I balk at 5k races over $20.00.  I don't find a lot of races to run any longer that I consider reasonable.  So I only run 3 or 4 each year to control expenses.  I don't count the races I run in where I'm sponsored as a pace team leader since those do not cost me anything.</p>
