Hello to everyone! I just joined today and wanted to introduce myself. I've started running in March after a 6 year hiatus, I was never a very serious runner in the past. I am currently running approx. 7-9 miles per week and have registered for a 5k in October. I have a completely different attitude towards running this time around. Not sure why, if it's the two children I've had and the pregnancy weight I want to desperately shed, or if it's just the fact that I really need a positive and healthy hobby. Maybe both. Anyway, I've been hard-pressed to find a running partner, other than my wonderful Rhodesian Ridgeback (who loves to run), so I thought perhaps an online community could help keep up my motivation when it gets low, as I'm sure it will at some point.
