Hey Guys - I know you might not believe this, but I'm looking at even a BETTER Forum design!<br><br><a href="http://www.vbulletin.com" target="_blank">www.vbulletin.com</a><br><br>
The current forum is a PHP Forum that is Free and public domain - It's a great forum; but there are few things I like about the newer one - and, from what I can tell, there are NO down sides - meaning, it's got all of these features PLUS MORE!!!<br><br>
A Significant add on is - IGNORE! This means that if there is someone you really don't like or don't care to read their posts - then you can ignore them and you won't even see their post!<br><br>
Private Messenging and all the other features are there - plus calendars and even Pictured Profiles.<br><br>
The forum will also allow me to add additional features as we continue to grow.<br><br><br>
It'll be several months before we get there - only because of the time it will take to migrate<br><br>
I'm posting this here, cause I'd like - if you are interested - to go take a look at the link I've posted. PLUS - If you are so inclined, you can actually set up a full working demo (It stays active for 24 hours).. So you guys can kick the tires and play around with the user control panels, the admin panels - everything....<br><br>
There are a few links to some forums that use the vbulletin version, so - if you would like to see it in action, go ahead....<br><br>

Oh yeah.. and ADVERTISEMENT FREE!!! - My GOAL is to have a Advertisement Free site!!<br><br><br>

Yup- it is! As we grow, my goal is to keep it ad free also.

it's funny, meri. when I read this post earlier, I wondered, 'why would we want to ignore any of the other posters'? now I can see that it might help to keep this place fun and healthy.<br><br>
Rich, I'm not a programmer -- only know enough xml and html to be dangerous. But if you need any help when you make the change, just holler. I'll be happy to do what I can.

I finally downloaded the demo and looked it over. It looks like a great forum!<br><br>

So on this "ignore" feature am I correct in thinking that I will get the thread of 42 replies, but that the 8 replies from people who piss me off will just not appear, but the other 34 will??<br><br>
When someone quotes an "ignored kickrunner" in a reply will their quote appear on my screen?? Or will I get the reply with the quote blanked out that they are replying to?<br><br>
It sure would make a fun game to just put in a few people under "ignore" and then see if I could make any sense of a thread with half the replies missing.<br><br>
Is there any limit to the number of members we could put on our "ignore' list?
