This will be the least exciting and one of the shortest POTDs. Also, I will be travelling to GR today and will likely not be able to respond to any questions until late today or late tomorrow and by then, it'll be another person's day.

1. Why do you run?
Because I have an obsessive nature and it's socially acceptable.

2. What is your greatest accomplishment?
Whatever it is hasn't happened yet which I think is a good thing actually.

3. What is your motto/theme song?
Motto - Anything is possible.
Theme Song - Let Go by Frou Frou

4. How do you deal with bad runs?
I am grateful for every day I can run. There are no bad runs.

5. Do you reward yourself for good runs? How?
When I trained for my first marathon, I would eat an entire pint of Ben & Jerry's One Sweet Whirled. They have since discontinued that flavor and I don't get as ravenous anymore anyway, so the answer would be no.

6. Who do you admire most?
I admire my parents. I feel extremely fortunate to have parents that are genuinely nice people and who love me no matter what.

7. What is the greatest advice you have ever received?
"Don't let them get to you." That was mother after I was freaking out about finding a roach in my laundry. That was when I knew there was no more running back to my parent's house when things got bad. At the age of nearly 28, I might finally be an adult.

8. What do wish you had learned younger?
That sports are fun and everyone makes mistakes.

9. What do you wish you could do but can't?
Run a 6 minute mile. Given that my best mile has been an 8:30 and that has only happened once, I figure I either (a) have a long way to go or (b) will die trying.

10. How would your friends describe your personality?
Funny, moody, outrageous.

11. What do you wear running? favorite outfit?
Warmer: I wear my running skirts a lot, but I have also learned to love the Nike shorts I got from an outlet store a long time ago.

Colder: The usual stuff. Tights, base layer tops, vest or jacket, hat. Nothing fancy.

I do however have my eye on a few things: a real turtleneck (not that short mock crap) wicking baselayer from lululemon and the fall stuff from Skirt Sports.

12. What has been your favorite race?
Well, that 5K where I averaged 9 min/mile was pretty neat, but having my friends show up at the Madison Marathon this past May with signs and t-shirts with my name and picture on them was the best!

13. Do you have a goal race right now?
Oh boy. Any marathon I can go sub-5 hours in. I have GR this weekend, so maybe this'll be it, but if not, then Philly and if it doesn't happen there then Surf City...

And it's really killing me too because a woman that runs a similar pace to me in races told me I should be completely capable of doing it. Argh.

14. What makes you happy?
Running, my family, making out with boys, living without roaches, meeting cool people, meeting cool people that like to run , having a job with benefits, dessert.

15. Tell us one interesting thing about you that you haven't said (at least not often) on this forum in the past.
I am typically never as happy as I seem to be, but sometimes I am.

I also stay as far away from negative people as I can.

16. Tell us one interesting thing about another user of this forum that has not been posted (at least not often) on this forum in the past (make sure the other person will not object to posting the info!).
The little that I do know (which ain't much), I won't be telling.

A wonderful introduction to you. And about running a sub 5-hour marathon...I'm right there with you. I've only done one so far, and Surf City will only be my second, and I'd be happy to run a 4:45. So we can push each other in February.
