I just found this brand at the local Kroger. It is the most delicious peanut/almond butters that I have EVER had. Normally I'm not a huge fan of the natural stuff plain (though I use it mixed in) but this stuff is delicious!

And check out the ingredient list...

Almond butter: Almonds, Flax Seed, Wheat Germ, Dehydrated Cane Juice, Egg White

Peanut butter: Roasted Peanuts, Wheat germ, Flax seed, Cane sugar, Egg whites, Honey, Flaxseed Oil

Now I suppose I have no proof that it's that awesome, but I feel SO much more comfortable when there's an ingredient list where I can read the whole thing, and buy each thing myself at the store if I desire.

And did I mention that, most importantly, the stuff is DELICIOUS like woah?

I'll have to look into this. Where I shop I'm able to make my own peanut/almond butter to order and I LOVE it, mike, not so much. He prefers Jif-I think bcs it's sweeter? I may try this brand and see what he thinks.

If it's the stuff I am thinking of, beware that it has little black "bugs" mixed into it---they are flaxseeds, but if you are visual, it could mess with you.

Not in mine...

Oh in case you don't see the label -- you do have to store it in the fridge.

Not too thrilled about the cane juice and cane sugar.
Yah, but it's better than "commercial" pb-like Jif or skippy. Jif is my personal fav, but I can't eat it if I've been eating a lot of the natural stuff-it becomes too sweet for me.

But there are tons of nothing but peanut butters on the store shelves these days, no reason to buy one with additives even if most of them are healthy.

IMHO, ymmv
