Here she is! Not sure on ETA. She will be sporting an all Black paint job, which I will likely get redone with something wicked cool later, as well as a protective sealant so the bike rack doesn't screw it up. I will move my components and wheels from my existing bike.

You are smart to put a sealant on that bike. My paint job on the Guru I have to say is horrible. After a year there is so much chipped pain on it I'm disgusted. I contacted Mark and he's contacted Guru. My Scott bikes have no where near the chips that this Guru does. Some paint came off by taking race stickers off the bike. I think its defective.

I'm told you know of a private painter? Is this where you are getting the sealant from? How much does he charge for a paint job?

My wife's BFF and her family own a series of paint stores in Indiana. I will let you know when I get mine done, I'm sure they would do your too if you can part with her. the problem is I expect it to be a week or so without the bike.

I'm going out of town 8/8-8/13 so that's going to be a perfect window for me. Assuming I have the bike in time.

the sealant is simple stuff in the paint world, I guess. Cars have it all the time. They can put layers and sparkly stuff in it and really make the color "pop".

Figuring a few hundred $ but I don't have a formal quote yet

You would think the Guru would have this sealant on it. My Scott bikes (my old Plasma and my wife's) are in fine shape and a lot older and have gone through much worse conditions. On the rack from here to NC and here to Florida a few times.

If its a few hundred that's cheap. Mark was telling me a good paint job can be more than 500 on a carbon bike.

Hopefully what I have is defective and Guru will give me a new bike... HA!
