<p>It's just so tough. A couple of decades ago, he would have died within an hour of birth. And now all this technology and interventions prolonged his life for two weeks. They couldn't avoid the interventions; there was always a hope he'd get better. But maybe it would have been a small mercy not to have it dragged out. I guess there's not much point in speculating about it.</p>

<p>Jebba, I don't know the family, but I am sure that they are surrounded by love and caring at this time. What I'm concerned with is how you are doing? I know that you were consumed with this horrible situation, and I want to know who you have to turn to?</p>

<p>wr4c- the kids are okay. They are a bit befuddled. They feel like it's no fair. But it doesn't seem very real to them, I think. Bless my little 4 year old's heart, when things were still touch and go he suggested that maybe Daddy could make baby Max feel better because Daddy is a doctor. Sniff.</p>
