I ran 3.36 miles around base housing today in 31:07 with a 9:16 per mile pace. This is my first serious shot at any distance over the Air Force's 1.5 mile PT test distance. Great weather for the run 80 degrees and partly cloudy. I am gonna be starting training for my family's first relay team for the 2011 Akron Marathon. We are running it in honor of my cousin VooDoo Joe. Is this pace good for this distance? My tank was empty at the end of the run but not bone dry. Also does anyone on here use the Runkeeper App on your smartphone? I used it for my run today and a small one on Saturday and so far i'm extremely impressed with it. Thanks for any thoughts and imput and I hope to be posting many more reports from now on.

Copy that on the daily thread. I was blinded by my first run posting excitement. Well I will have plenty more runs to post on there in the near future. Thanks for the welcome and the kind words about Joe. He was one of a kind. BBS the individual legs are 3.5, 5.7, 6.3, 2.8, and 7.9. I am gonna be responsible for either the 5.7 or the 6.3 leg. I watched the video on the Akron marathon site and the 6.3 spends about 5 miles on this wodded trail that seems like it would be an awesome spot for a mid morning run.
