Misty, hot, and humid this morning for my a.m. 6 miler. But! In a couple hours the cold front comes thru and temps suppose to drop into the 60's this afternoon and 50's in the a.m.

Will pick up some more tonight in the cooler weather. Those of you masters not on the A team need to take a couple days off. You've got be tired and we don't want you injured.

Hello all,
This morning I did 10 mins on the arm bike and then upper body free weights.
Tonight I go for my PT initial evaluation, and tomorrow morning (7am!!!) I have my first session. I'm really chomping at the bit - I can't wait to be cleared for starting to run again. I will probably have to start the C25K program all over again.

Good morning everyone.

Looks like a gorgeous week ahead of us in MT with temps getting into the mid-70s. Meeting a friend after work to run.

No rain here. Sunny and warm again. Mother Nature forgot that it's October in New England, but I love it!

4 easy miles this morning. This taper thing gives me all kinds of extra time. I'm off to do errands and may actually have time to stroll through the local mall a bit.

Good runs to everyone!

Hard-working SS: speaking of Monday, isn't it time for the first-ever kickrunners masters' weekly thread?

Good Morning Everyone - glad to see this is a busy Monday morning on the posting!

It is absolutely beautiful here this morning! I love this weather! But, I stoopidly overdressed on my run this morning. Who would have thought long sleeves and shorts would be too much in late Oct.? Anyways, 7 sunny and 60 degee miles. It's suppose to be in the 70's again . Unfortunately, I must go ruin the day by having to shower and get my butt into work.

tw - have a great vacation!
riley - GL tonight and tomorrow morning. I hope all goes well and you can start running soon!

Tammy.. you must still be on cloud 9 after that stellar performance yesterday! Woo Hoo!!
Lab.. how's the foot feeling these days?
Pink.. warm down here too.. 82 today.. come on it's fall!
No rain either we are to get only scattered showers from the stuff that's hitting JJJ. I've got an order in for 40's at 8:00 in Richmond on November 10th.

Rest day.. 20 min elliptical real easy. Totally recovered from yesterday's 18 miler and this week starts tapering (week 1 of 3)

Recovery day today: just 40 minutes on the bike later. I may even do it indoors and watch DS swim at the pooool.

Perch, my foot still hurts more than I think it should. The intensity of pain has decreased substantially, but the pain is still always there. What bothers me the most is this is how it felt for three months before the plantar fascia finally gave out. When I told my podiatrist about this, and asked him what was going to prevent another re-injury, he responded that since we're treating this as a trauma injury and not an overuse one, and I am not doing any of the overuse treatments (i.e., stretching, massage, etc.), the foot should continue to heal slowly over time. I do wish I had more confidence in this course of action.

Lab - I'm not liking to hear that you are still feeling some pain there. I hope this is just "getting back into it - normal discomfort after so much time off" pain and not "aggravating something that isn't quite healed" pain.

Except for some tight hip flexors, I'm feeling pretty good today. But I'm still taking a rest day and will just do more stretching tonight. Normally, I would hit the gym for a short lunch time run tomorrow, but I have a scheduled dental cleaning tomorrow during that time, so probably won't get in my next run til Wednesday. After a few wks of cold and rain, we are back in the low 70's this week. Probably the last chance all fall yard cleanup we'll get.

have a good day all! And thanks so much for all the comments and praises on my race thread. I'm still feeling pretty darn excited about my race yesterday.
