Mountain Bikers! Or ex-mountain bikers, I have a question for you.

I have a 2001 Specialized Enduro Pro HT sitting in the garage and was thinking of selling it. My problem is I have no idea what I would sell it for. What do you guys think?

Thanks.

I never get much for used mtb's on ebay, but mine are used off road and pretty chewed up, maybe your bike gets 300-500 or so if its all well maintained. so much of the driveline and suspension stuff gets trashed, people are leery about buying. I've had to be very careful about describing the bikes too, people expect they will be in better shape than they are and come crying about some $2000 used race bike they bought for $450 on ebay, it's hardly worth the aggravation.

Also, be careful on shipping, it can run nearly $100 shipping cross country, use the shipping calculator in your auction and measure the box carefully.

Thanks for the input. I was going to try and sell it locally.

I can't believe that I spent $2k on this and can only sell it for a few hundred. It IS in perfect condition, I barely ever ride anymore, this has hit the trail less that 10 times, with no wrecks.... "????? or were there?

Thanks again!

you should be able to do ok then, look at the classified on mountain bike review and see what it brings, maybe $1000 or so

Technology has been changing pretty fast on mountain bikes for the last 10 years or so. It's like driving a new car off the lot...instantly worth about half what you just paid for it.

Good luck, though. Try Craigslist for the two or three nearest cities.

Decided to go ahead and keep the mtb. Picked up a nice roadie last week, and have already logged almost 50 miles on it. Love it.
