OK here goes for a second time LOL I wrote it once and somehow it disappeared

So I have run this race 6 times. It is a very emotional one for me because it is the reason that I started running..to run this race..it was my first goal race. I run it every year in honour of my mother, my grandmother, my aunts..basically every woman in my family..all of whom have been diagnosed with this fvcking disease in their late 30's /early 40's. It was also very emotional cause it was the first time I was running it knowing that I was safe from the mutated gene that my family carries. Last Fall I finally mustered up the courage to get tested and I do not carry it. Who knows why?? I am the only one in like 5 generations.

So all dolled up in pink I left for the race at about 8am. I ran into my aunt..45 years old...mother of 3 beautiful girls..diagnosed last Fall...she was walking it. I went to the start..left my phone behind...did not flirt with any of the men around . I had decided that i was going to race this race. My objective was to come in under 25 minutes. I used my Garmin to stay under 5 min/km. At km4 I pushed a little harder and then 500 m from the finish I picked it up a little more. I thought of you Benj..telling me last year to run a 5km and empty the tank and then punch it into MacMillan...well I ran hard but I did not empty the tank. I know that I could do it faster. I was and am very proud of my time though

So there you go..is that ok
