Fun: DS was doing better yesterday and our visit last night was so much less heartwrenching. I have hope. 
 
More Fun: Looks like another lovely day here!
 
Not fun: Starting out my day with a two hour meeting. I'd rather be at home in the garden.

I've got nothing good. This wet farging saggy weather is harshing my new love mellow and it's pissing me off. I was in a great mood until I walked the 5 blocks from the parking lot to the building and now, quite frankly, I just want to go home, crawl in bed and read a good book. Except that I know there is no good book waiting for me at home. That's the only thing keeping me here. Is that sad.
 
ok. enough sad sap talk. I'm a very lucky girl with lots of good happening around her. Time to perk up! good. there. I eel better already.

Fun: I get to work with a fun co-worker today...lots of great conversations! 
Not-so-Fun: Having to work when it's sunny and probably one of the last barely-humid days of the year. Hrmph.

Count me in, Winter, about the weather. I think this is day 5? of gray overcast/rainy weather, with no break in sight til Sat...then more rain next week. I haven't been able to get out of bed any morning this week. Meh.
 
Ailarie! OMG, I LOVE LOVE LOVE that photo!!!! I just saved it to my computer, I love it so much! you.are.awesome.
 
I have fallen into a strange pattern of cleaning my bathroom after 11 at night...it's like every other week or so, I'm standing there brushing my teeth and I realize the taps looks dingy and I get the spray to do them, then end up getting other cleaning stuff and doing the toilet and walls of the bath too. I swan, living alone is weird sometimes.
 
To that point...I am getting a roommate for a while. My friend is moving out of his ex's place and is going to stay with me for at least a month. This will either be completely fine...or completely awful. Weird thing is, I've had a couple of friends stay with me while they move or whatever and I knew I could not live with them for a long periof of time, but for some reason, I think this will be fine. And I'll also be away for a week in June, anyway.
 
Got a txt last night from FV, just asking for my email addy, and saying "boring moment in the meeting" (he's on an advisory board for a roadway reconstruction project near my house), so I guess i'm on his radar, so to speak.

Bob - I won't be doing that version of the Spartan Race, either. Those people ARE nuts, no doubt. I'd be a volunteer for an event though!
 
Wippy - What's left on the packing department? You've been boogying along lately!
 
Maureen - Good luck with the temp roomie! For short-term, I bet you'll like it. Penny-girl will surely appreciate some extra attention, I bet! Trixie may not be so amused with the whole arrangement, however!

The Pilot is reminiscent of Ann's The Pilot. Winter's dude is a helicopter pilot, no? Would we call him Chopper? <img alt="biggrin.gif" src="http://files.kickrunners.com/smilies/biggrin.gif" style="width:16px;height:16px;">

I don't have the photo saved but it's in my memory of faves. A long time ago, before we had ever met, you had posted that when you smile in your race photos you look like someone from Wallace and Grommit. And you followed it up with a photo where you really did look like someone from Wallace and Grommit. I laughed over that for days, and I still think of it.

It's sunny here today! I can't believe it! I wore my new green dress (but not a real green dress, that'd be cruel...hee hee!), new shoes, necklace and sunglasses. I feel like a rock star!
 
The Caribbean Princess just landed in port. It's so huge, I can't get over it! Wish I could sneak on somehow and get a tour of it.

Well I just had my going away lunch and EVERYONE in my office showed up. It was so nice and so fun! Even my bosses boss who I rarely ever talked to came and sat at the head of the table and he paid for every one!! This is the first time that we've ever got lunch bought for us! 
 
Packing is moving right along. I can't really handle the amout of boxes in my living room right now it's freaking me out but I just keep telling myself that they are as organized as they are ever going to be and pretty soon I wont even have to look at them.

Hi all - well, work is keeping my mind occupied, if nothing else. Just got done with my pre-op interview (I go into surgery next Tuesday) and glad it's a better day weather-wise today - good enough to walk around the SF hills methinks.
