I guess we made the mistake of not pointing out race/ethnic things to our kids. Our church has a police officer at the head of the nursery wing. (mega church, and there was one attempted child abduction) Anyway, this cop loves the kids and is always doing the 'high 5' with 'em. He is very dark skinned. One day my youngest son asked him why his skin was so brown. Nice little awkward silence...
More "fun with toddler talk"
My little 2.5 year old cousin is hysterical...cutest little thing. So apparently, they were at church last week and a Franciscan friar was there, shaved patch on the head and long beard and everything. So, halfway through the mass, little Lizzie yells "Look! A pirate!" <img alt="biggrin.gif" src="http://files.kickrunners.com/smilies/biggrin.gif"><br><br>
Then, at the end, she yelled "Is that Santa Claus?"
