Fly by report here since I need to get on the road to work.

Schedule called for 6 but wife's work schedule means I had to run 10 today, I felt good enough to stretch it out to 10.79. Average pace of 9:05. Temps were in the low 60,s and the humidity was about 72% so that as NICE!

Later!

Enjoy the zero Jill -- awesome job on the PR!!!

I was running a little late again so just 8 miles on the mountain roads. Raining and cold this morning. My legs were bright red by the end. Still trying to warm back up...

FB--love it when life dictates the running schedule.

Jill--awesome job on the goose egg!

loopy--tell me you didn't run in shorts. I ran in long sleeves and tights yesterday and was comfortably overwarm, until I stopped. Then I caught a nasty chill!

Not sure what's on tap for today. I think my legs need a rest from running. Might go for a spin with son1 this afternoon. Then again, maybe not. It's cold and damp. I really need to move firewood to the porch. Totally sucked having to go out to the back of the yard to get firewood this morning. Of course, the wood was all wet.

I am back from my run and it was a slogfest. 5 miles in 44:52(8:58). After taking my daughter to school I might do some stretching etc... or just do nothing. Have a great morning everyone.

Scheduled rest day but had a 7:30am appointment with the chiropractor. I think I had the sampler platter, i.e. a bit of everything. Nothing heavy. Aside form that, I felt a small calf twinge yesterday (almost like 2009) and it wasn't due to Da Bears. DW had a can of pumpkins dropped on her big toe. Black and blue. We both need bubble wrap this week.

Chances - Trust me, it'll be perfect. Enjoy the recovery.

kfuller - enjoy whatever comes your way

zrun - you'll be challenging for the ellipticating championships soon.

4boysmom - Rest and I hope you don't have a smokey fire.

Loopy - Wind burn. Nice. Hey at least you kept your shirt on. Good job getting out in the crap.

Jill - rest is goooood

FB - you are a monster. Great job on the almost 11.

Morning all, flying by because it's busy at work and I already spent too much time totaling up September for that thread.

Rest day, and a good day for it. Cold, rainy and just generally nasty outside, so I'll gladly take a load off and join Jill for a latte.

30 minute ride on the rollers to loosen the legs and then a 5 mile run. Legs are tight, especially the groin. I played soccer yesterday with DS soccer team. DW had to reminder me later that I am 41 and not 14 anymore. Man do I feel every bit of it.

Happy training everyone.

ok Jill - You are holding everyone in suspense (at least me anyhow). You got a PR yesterday, but what was your time. Or are you holding out until you post the RR?

There was a glowing light in the sky this afternoon. I think it was the sun??? Son1 and I decided to go for a spin. Son1 pulled out of the parking lot and I never saw him again. Tired of dealing with a wicked headwind, I opted to cut the ride short. Focus is marathon training, not riding! 13-something miles.

I'm in zombie mode right now. Going on 21 hours without sleep.

Run went ok today , locked onto a nice easy pace and avged 8:49. Halfway thru I realized I hadn't eaten anything since 3am. I think that took a small toil on me.

Jill-looking forward to hear how things went.

Great runs all you crazy folks, and whatever other exercise you do.

To our two little ones racing in Chicago this weekend, play nice and best of luck.

Essay, done. Lots more reading and other homework, yet to do. Oh well...had a strenuous lift this morning and 70min easy run this afternoon. I feel like I completed a lot...besides how much time I waste on the internet. Someday I'll learn, I hope. Night.
