Good morning, TEAM LIT!

Groggy morning for me, but otherwise body feeling pretty good considering yesterday's race...

2+ mile stiff-legged scamper up and down the street in a chilly rain.

Greatest day, Peeps!

Good morning friends,

It's a rainy day here too in NY's backyard. I did 2.25 treadmill miles and felt great afterwards, then lots of abs and stretching. It's a wonderful way to start the day, right?

It's gotten quite cool here and today is the first day I've worn socks to work since early May. I hate to put my sandals away for the winter but I guess it's time.

Enjoy your day,

Thor - Great race yesterday, so close to sub-3 hours. Keep up the good work.

Me: Much needed DAY OF REST!!! I just checked my stats from last week, holy cow the most training I have ever done in one week:

Swimming: 3:00:00 - 10,000m

Biking: 8:30:00 - 165 miles

Running: 6:30:00 - 45 miles

Half Iron distance tri this Sunday, so this week should be an easier one, thank God!!!! I am so beat today. I am going to be taking a half day today and head home early to take my wife to the doctor, which means an afternoon nap might be in my future.

Have a solid day everyone!

Rest day after running a 10k yesterday. Did 44:54, which was about a minute slower than I wanted, but still a good hard workout. I'd normally do an easy recovery jog today, but I was dealing with some crazy hip bursitis over the weekend, so I think I'll just let them chill out for a bit.

Monday. Ugh. Hang in there, Friends.

Been having internet troubles lately so I haven't been posting my workouts. Recovery week for Insanity, so the workout today is Core Cardio and Balance. Masters swim tonight. Coach is beginning the dry land strength work at the start of class. Main set is all easy aerobic effort stuff.

On the sofa with a blanket and some tissues. Some sort of cold or something that started in after my short run yesterday. Had planned on returning to masters swim this morning, but turned the alarm off at 12:30am when I still had not fallen asleep. Boo. Hiss.

60 minutes in the pain cave (trainer). 2 x 8min at FTP w/2 minutes rest in between. Man that killed, I'm a wuss I couldn't hold it. Supposed to do 3 x 8min by next week. Going to do some core work, then some beer work to even it back out.

Thanks, Reg! And hey, if he slowed down at the end, I bet I passed him. If he stayed even or acceleration, no way I passed him. But if he slowed down slightly more than normal, I definitely passed him. I clipped at least 7 in the last bunch of miles. I pretty much held even pace-wise but remember distinctively several guys slowing far more. If you see him, and if he did drop off, you can tell him that I was wearing a bright lime green. Most people remember the jersey (Team Trakkers uniform, so green tritop and shorts). Thanks again!

Thor - Congrats on the solid race!

Dougie - Congrats on completing your first HM - I will read your RR soon.

cak - hope yor feel better soon. DD has been couging/sniffing for a few days... it will be my turn any day.

Matt - Great job on your 10k! Sorry to hear about your hip issue - is it the same or different from what you have had?

5 easy run. HR stays low at a decent pace, but legs still not feeling that light. i will wait another week and make a decision whether it is a smart idea to tackle another training regimen.

Then 1100m (took 30min) of kicking, kicking and more kicking and R single arm swim. L shoulder is getting better but still can't move well enough for a swim.
