Morning guys...

Um, I'll be resting today.

Definitely still basking in the glow of yesterday's result. In terms of my time, it was my 4th fastest marathon out of a total of 8 races. But in some ways it was my best race. I ran pretty evenly, didn't fall apart and finished strong. Mile 18 was an outlier at 8:19, but I fought off a crash and got back down to 7:40 in the next mile. Faded to low-8 minute pace in Miles 24 & 25 but got back under 8 in 26 and had a 7:34 pace going for the final 0.45 (for some reason my Garmin says I did 26.45. Oh well.). Interestingly a few weeks ago when I did Yasso 800s, I averaged 3:23 per 800. And my time yesterday...3:23:55. That tells me I ran to the max of my capabilities yesterday. I feel like I finally got some things right yesterday on the race management side...pacing, nutrition, etc. and because of that I was able to dig deep when I had to. Very happy.

And RA -- yes, I'll see you on Patriots Day 2013.
