Had a appoinment with the doctor this morning, having another MRI done on my hip to rule out anything before I start running again, hopefully I can get it scheduled quick. If that comes back negative and still having problems he suggested a physiatrist with the possiblities of injection or an EMG to test the nerves. More stuff to google, but it's a plan.

zruns - feeling like a guinea pig yet? Hopefully you get the green light.

kfuller - enjoy the bounding.

Dan - rest up.

Jill - I feel a disturbance in the force...

BBS - you have one crazy work schedule. Hopefully it allows you to get enough rest we'll you're training...

I have my kit in case I feel inspired to hit the gym. My ankle is sore but I can't tell if it's from specific PT exercises or just because it's f'ed up. The posterior tibular tendinitis is likely now tendinosis. I curse you Mizuno Elixir for doing this to me!

Good morning all.

Nice 5 Jill -- yeah it's been surprisingly warm lately.

BBS good luck with the 6 -- hope you manage to get some sleep too.

Enjoy the rest Dan.

Good luck with the plyometrics Kevin.

Zrun hope the MRI goes well.

Asics sorry the ankle is still bothering you. My ankle still occasionally feels a little "off," but for the most part, has been behaving.

Did a very easy 10 on the canal path this morning -- raced a challenging 5k yesterday on a cross country course. Just barely managed to finish under 20 minutes thanks to all the hills and challenging terrain. Got 2nd overall and 1st in my age group, which garnered me a turkey -- not much use to a vegetarian family, but I'll be able to give it to my in-laws...

Congrats on the great placement in your race loopy.

vash - it was 50* this morning. Yesterday morning it was in the low 40's I believe. And I don't think of it as a makeup run, more like a final week of taper schedule.

zrun - I am sending you major good vibes. I hope this is the end of your hip and hamstring issues. ENough is enough already.

Morning everyone,

Looks like a nice day today, 54 degrees. Jill, either it is warmer in PA than VA right now or you've got a much different idea of what "too warm" is. 50s are perfect in my opinion. High 30s with high winds, like I had at NYC, a little less so. Actually Philly's temps last year were pretty good...low 40s at the start warming into low 50s. I will admit I like it a little warmer than most.

I had been planning on a swim today but when packing the bag this morning I changed my mind and packed for a run. Just felt more like that...maybe the fact my total for last week was a whopping 2 miles had something to do with that? I still won't go much, just 3-4 miles easy. I'm taking a full 3 weeks of recovery before contemplating the next steps.

zrun - hoping for good news from the doc

BBS - enjoy the half dozen later

Dan - yep, it's that time of year when we all get reacquainted with our headlamps

RA - sounds like you need a magic elixir to undo those Elixirs

loopy - nice 10 and congrats on the "hardware" yesterday

4bm - congrats on the walk.

Fly by literally! Flying home in just a bit. Got interviewed by the newspaper this morning. Feeling pretty good. Calves pretty tight and wicked blisters, but other than that, doing good! Catch you on the flip side!

Good afternoon everyone. Got the plyometrics dvd done. It is a video done by the same person that does P90X. I can tell that parts of my legs are not as strong as I would like them to be. I only do it once a week or it would just thrash my legs.
