Morning...

Wow, can't believe I'm starting. Up and out early for a meeting. Rest day today after two in a row. My body feels those two days but all normal stuff.

Have a great Monday!

Good morning all.

Dan enjoy the well-deserved rest.

Rest day for me too -- not really that sore from the marathon, but exhausted from the very busy weekend:

Drive to Richmond Friday, Drive back up to DC Saturday, Run the Marathon Sunday and then drive back home...

My brother did manage to finish, but it was not always pretty -- we walked from 21-22 and he was thinking of walking it in from there, but I managed to convince him to at least try some jogging and he was able to shuffle-jog it in from there. We finished in 4:45, not too bad considering his longest run was 16 and that was 6 weeks ago. It was a lot of fun though and I got a ton of love from the crowds for my Medusa hat!

Dan--enjoy the rest. Sound like you are on the mend though?

loopy--sounds like a busy weekend, not even including the marathon!

BBS--lots of deer "hunting" going on around here--TONS of dead deer on the roadways.

Got home from church late last night, then ended up staying up way too late talking with son2. Didn't even bother to set my alarm. I just listened for showers to make sure everyone was up. ALthough, son1 threw a wrench in there by getting out stupid early for a run, then in and out of the shower before 6:10. Yes, we have assigned shower times...

Easy run for me. Had planned on 8 but lack of sleep and motivation killed that. Ended up on my usual favorite short 6 route.

Dan - 2 in a row is a good start, enjoy the rest

Loopy - Glad your bro finished. That was nice of you to be out there for him

BBS - have a good fiver

4boys - way to get out there early

Nice long runs over the weekend, and great 10k Hawk! I managed to avoid any exercise this weekend, but put in 90 at yoga this morning. Motivation is getting tougher. I'm flying out of town for work today for a couple of days. At least I packed workout clothes, maybe try to get in 1-2 elliptical or stair workouts.

Good morning everyone. I got in 5 miles in 44:40. At about mile 3 I just kind of zoned out and ended up having a great run. The first two miles were sluggish, but it picked up from there. Nice running, resting and thinking about hunting.

Nice job folks. I have a SRD. The excitement for the day is a drug test at work. It's all part of the drama of my division being acquired by a larger firm in the same space. Good job I quit last month.

Hawk - great job on the 10k. Same Age Grading as my 10k... according to http://www.runbayou.com/Wavacalc.htm. NYC awaits.

Loopy - sounds like you had fun supporting your brother.

Good morning, er, afternoon all,

Like RA I have a SRD on tap, yet I robotically packed a bag before heading into work today...perhaps that just puts me ahead of schedule for tomorrow's run? Oh well, we'll see what the day has in store today. If nothing else, I may just do some elliptical tonight, just to work out some lactic acid from yesterday.

Only a four day work week lies ahead, then a bus ride up to the Big Apple on Friday. We're taking the MegaBus from downtown DC up to midtown Manhattan, staying at the Manhattan Centre Hotel. Hoping to hit the expo Friday afternoon after I get up there. Light run that evening, resting Saturday.

Dan - enjoy the rest day, nice going on getting back in the swing

loopy - sorry we never met up in DC, hope you had fun, sounds like you did for at least the run, maybe not so much with all the traveling. After NYC my next "race" will probably be a 5k turkey trot with DW, where my job will be similar to yours yesterday.

BBS - enjoy the 5

kevin - well done on the 5

zrun - I find working out is often what keeps me sane on business travel. Otherwise it sucks (business travel I mean)

4bm - 6 isn't so bad for being all tired

RA - better hydrate today. Re: age grading, I must be getting better with age. A few years ago after my first half marathon I graded out at 65%.

Megabus.com is in a lot of US cities now. Kind of a cool service and cheaper than flying or Amtrak.

I thought somebody was going bring up The Who's "Magic Bus." (good running song, BTW)
