Jebba - I want to go to camp too! Way fun!

Porty - You are just too energetic for me today ! I have not been plaqued by beetles but something got in the garden last week and ate the green tomatoes off one plant at the end and sort of pushed over the tomatoe cage and plant.. I was thinking maybe a wood chuck? I do not have a fence on my garden as I have NEVER had any animals in my garden ( they must know what I lousy gardener I am and feel sorry for me !) so in a way I feel like my garden has finally made the grade.

Took van to garage today for a bad oil leak.. feel sheepish - it was a rotted out oil filter ! Bad car owner!

Cleaned DH's car - it was gross... and need to buy him a set of tires for his birthday - He can be very cheap with stupid things like tires!

Off to clean DS's room - he is at camp so it is time to hoe it out !

Making eggplant parm for dinner with some people at church - should be fun !

Porty,

One of the 4 trees was hanging over the fence between me and my neighbor and was near their house. I had 3 others that were in the same area so I went ahead and had those taken down also. Next summer some more that are close enough to hit the house if they get knocked down during a hurricane will come down.

I figure it is cheaper to pay for the tree removal than the deductible on my house insurance.

Plus I get free Mulch!

FB--were those pines? We had three big pines that were sorta "privacy" trees, blocking the view between the neighbor's patio and our deck. We've had tons of bad wind storms and they had always survived. Then one morning we woke to find two of the three trees lying in the neighbor's yard. Luckily they landed gently and didn't damage anything--fence, patio table, their house! We opted to remove the third tree just to be safe. Really changed the looks of things though!

Yep, those were just your typical southern pines. Tall scraggly thing that would sway in the major storms. They always leave lots of pine cones that I have to pick up before the mowning can commence!
