I have a chiro apmt this morning, and then some errands. And some knitting with the ladies to finish knitting a sample for another cowl I'm writing a pattern for, and some time in the studio.

Can i get a do-over this morning? Ended up having a brain freeze moment and couldn't get the right code into the alarm system at work before the thing went off. As if that was annoying enough, as it was before 8am, the security company couldn't call the office to verify things, because our phones were still on night mode.

Despite my panicked calls to a couple of co-workers (one not even reachable at 7:59am), no one knew who handled our security or what the passcode was. Even when 4 other coworkers showed up - no clue. By 8:05, the president's daughter came in, on the phone "Did anyone set off the alarm?!" (the company called her dad directly, when they couldn't reach us). Sadly, even he didn't know the right passcode.

#@#)*#

Nor did the office manager. See a pattern forming here? She did at least call the security company and give them what we thought was the passcode. (and now I have the security number, which is more info than I had an hour ago)

The cops came out. I hung my head in shame and told them that I was the one who set off the alarm and we would have been MORE than happy to relay the right passcode to the security company and abort their trip here, if anyone here knew the correct passcode. The cops snickered a little, at least.

Needless to say, Mondays usually suck, but today has started off on a high note.

Yikes Ailarie. I had a bit of a brain melt-down too. Got up early to get into the office and realized I left my key card at home so I couldn't get in the office untill 7:30 (even though I was ready too at 6). Boo. I have a lot of catching up to do today.....

Ooh, sorry to hear about the Monday woes...

I'm feeling awfully stuffy today. And I've got a scratchy throat. The rest of me feels fine, so I don't think this qualifies as "sick", but maybe I'm on my way there. As of now, I'm still going to plan on getting out for a long tempo run tonight, but I guess we'll see how I feel after work...

Morning people

It is amazing sometimes though brain freeze moments isn't it? I have done that too where I am like, "I do this every day..wth can't I not remember what is it I do??" Sigh

So this weekend was a good one. I had a great 5k on Saturday (23:15). Good to see I still have some speediness in my legs. Office Xmas party on Saturday made for good eats and too much drink. Sunday morning was a hard one but I was running slower with a friend (thank goodness). I ended up with 15.5 in just under 10 min pace. Then I went home, showered, ate a cliff bar and went to lift,. That was so hard on no fuel. Youch. Then to a friends to decorate cookies. I ate a whole sub and chips on the way. While driving :)

Wow Ailarie and RiL, that sucks.

Very productive weekend and not too hectic, which was nice. We got the most gorgeous Christmas tree yesterday. We have 9.5ft ceilings and it just brushes at the top. Lights and ornaments go on tonight.

I actually planned ahead and started steel cut oatmeal in the crockpot for the first time last night. This morning it smelled so good and tasted even better. I added some vanilla protein powder to the mixture last night and a little brown sugar this morning. OMG - so creamy and delish!

I got in a lovely 5 miles yesterday and am hitting the gym after work - cardio and weights. I'm liking my new routine very much.

Hope you feel better boB.

Morning. This week is crazy busy, with lots planned eating out. I made some quality food this weekend to bring for lunches to help balance it out. Hopefully that and some portion control will be enough to prevent any real damage.

J and I did a workout she put together from the Fit Deck http://amzn.com/B000UEP0NI this morning. I'm thinking about hiring a trainer again, if I can find one I like that's willing to deal with my schedule!

Morning all! Somehow I missed checking in this past weekend, guess I was busy. Saturday was very productive and then settled down in time to watch Kansas beat #2 Ohio St (WOOT!) followed by dinner with the lovely Theia and her family (we missed you GoV!!) Sunday I got out for a 12 miler, meeting a friend along the way, first double digit run in way too long and it felt great! I then met up with another friend for high tea and finished the day off watching what we termed "The Mediocrity Bowl" (aka Buffalo vs. San Diego)

Was able to drag myself out this morning for 8.8 mi in more super nice conditions, I love being out running when the sun warms the sky and all of it's surroundings. The light bouncing off some buildings is so pretty... golds and oranges.

Shit, I missed KP and Missy’s birthdays… HAPPY belated BIRTHDAYS!!!!

thanks for all the birthday wishes...had a great day. It did drive home the changes of the last 18 months or so but it was a good day.

Ailarie - that sucks...kind of funny, but sucks.

Sat down this morning and planned out the next few weeks of my rehab. I have to start back with some cardio - the number on the scale this morning was way too damn close to 190.

His ticker and lungs are totally fine, nothing wrong there at all despite him maybe having a slight heart murmur. Chest x-rays were also taken and didn't reveal anything in the lungs or elsewhere except for one possibility... there was an area on one of the x-rays were D was lying on his side and his stomach looks a little smushed up and maybe something else showing up, although it's not a clear area on the film at all. His stomach shape could simply be a result of the way he was positioned but that area that's hard to see needs more attention so he'll be going back in for an ultrasound on Wed. He's also dropped another pound in less than a month's time which is a pretty big deal when you only weigh 10ish lbs; he's just not eating much so we picked up a little of every kind of food and more snacks and are trying anything and everything to get him to take in some calories. Fingers crossed for my little buddy; he definitely was acting a bit more like himself in the last couple days but still much too light

Happy belated birthday to Missy! (I got kp on Facebook)

Congrats, Bex!

Well, after my chiro appointment this morning, I joined the Anytime Fitness around the corner. They made it too hard NOT to join. I have a university discount which took over $10/month off the price, they let me join for six months at the year rate, they're basically giving me from now until Jan. 15 for free, and they called the Anytime Fitness in my mom's town (which I didn't even know existed) and got me a guest membership there so I can work out during my trip home. I will meet with a trainer this week, and if all works out, I'll start some training either this week or next week before I leave. Oh, and I can get discounted personal training sessions for the rest of my membership. I really, really, really hope that I am motivated enough to stick with it.
