Morning my running friends. Another cool September day here. Well relatively cool day around 80, but I will take it. Maybe Fall is coming sooner then normal? I am not sure I will get a run in today but I will probably lift at lunch.

Hey, Ron! Hope you had a great weekend and enjoy the run later.

My weekend run didn't go as planned, I was busy staying with my mom while my sister was out of town for the night. She needs care 24/7 since she's in a wheel chair and basically can't do anything for herself.

Hopefully this week will have a few good runs in it.

Hey guys!! MIss checking in here!!

Suds....glad you got to spend some time with your mom...thats more important then running anyhow! Good luck on your runs this week!
Ron...we r having a warm fall as well! Supposed to cool off some this week but 90* in Sept is too hot anyhow!! Enjoy your cool weather as well!

It has been a crazy last few weeks!! I almost feel like I have been ran over by a truck!! My grandmother passed away a wk ago funeral last wed and then headed to my brothers wedding a day later!! Emotional roller coaster! Absolutely no running.....my grandma went rather quickly and most days it was a struggle to keep up with house stuff, kid stuff, work, visit grandma and getting everyone ready for the wedding! The weekend was beautiful we could feel Grandmas spirit there.....and we know how happy she is for my brother and his new wife!! And after so many sad days it was wonderful to have happy days and celebrations!!

Will start running again this week....feeling like I am recovering from the overabundance of alcohol this past weekend!! :) Tomorrow I should be good to go!

Hey everyone! I've been mia trying to keep the things moving with school starting, friends visiting, etc. It's been a crazy couple of weeks and my ds is having a hard time at school. He just hates going and it's really hard to see him so upset. We're trying to figure it out and hopefully we'll be able to help him to feel better. My dd10 is also having issues sleeping so I am not getting enough sleep. Where is the parenting handbook? Did I miss the handout at the hospital? Geez.

I've been running but not as much as I'd like. I will definitely be dropping down to the half marathon at Smuttynose and I'm bummed out about that. My running group did a 22mile run on Saturday and I did 13 miles - I was sad not to do the whole run with them. It's OK though, I guess I'll be more fired up for a spring marathon if I don't do one this fall.

Paul - hope you are doing OK. How is the leg? I agree that spending time with your Mom is more important than running but it's hard when you are on a schedule.

Staci - I'm so sorry about your Grandmother. It must have been a challenge to deal with all of those mixed emotions but I'm glad that you were able to celebrate at your brother's wedding and know your Grandmother's spirit was there with you all.

Ron - hope you got your run in today! 80 is cool? It was in the mid 70s here today and we thought it was hot for this time of year. :)

Susan - I know you help out at your kids school. Is your son having problems with another kid? or is it the work load from school? I wish parenting was easier at times.

80 is cool for this time of the year. It is suppose to be in the 70's later in the week.

Paul enjoy the time with your mom. That is definately more important.

I have a gym story and I am not saying you are this old Paul. I was at the gym the other day and started talking with this man. He was going from machine to machine and we started talking. He said he just turned 88 and his goal was to out live his mother who was 108. If I am working out at 88 I will be happy with that.
