5 easy miles outside, about 75 degrees and sunny with a little breeze here and there. One sprinkler to run through. It felt hot to me, but I just thought about merigayle & Durt's long hot run. Plus when I got home the A/C repair person had come and gone and I was greeted by a nice cool house!

I think I'll go for a little walk. I'm going to add to my VRAA team's mileage.

3 miles in 29:36. Which was a somewhat quick pace for me. I hate to admit it, but I plunked Miss Sunshine in front of Thomas the Tank Engine in order to get my run in. Then I got about 20 minutes of yoga while S pretended to be trying to nap.

50 miles or so on the bike with some folks from my new cycling group. Al (on the left) had mechanical problems and had to head home after only 14 miles. Fortunately the DC Metro was available, so he had a way back home. Amy (on the right) had a holiday bbq to attend and bailed out early too, so I finished solo. It was a beautiful day in DC. Warm, but only partly sunny, so the heat wasn't a problem. I hooked up with a guy named Paul for the last 10 miles or so and we were burning up the road. Found out later that he was a longtime cyclist and IM Kona finisher, so no wonder! These guys should wear a sign or something so we poor weekend warriors don't get suckered into the chase.
