I ran 10 easy miles this morning on an absolutely gorgeous morning (64°F). I'm going to try and step the miles up this week to get ready for a big summer of running.

I hope you enjoy your workouts today.

5 miles in 43:50 outside, last mile at MP. My first real outdoor run since March 18. It was a breezy beautiful morning in the mid-60s and I couldn't resist. I'm glad I went for it because my foot felt fine after a little achiness at first while warming up.

After all the cross-training my legs felt stronger than they ever have, but I noticed cardio-wise it was more effort. I have some fitness to re-gain.

Sounds like a good run, sgh.

A cross-training day for me. 20 miles on the stationary bike in 64:18. Then 30 minutes of pilates (abs, hips/glutes, arms).

5 easy miles @ lunch.

Trying to do my easy runs at a slower pace based on McMillan's calculator.

Used the training mode on my Forerunner and actually swore at my virtual partner. That a-hole kept running while I stopped and waited for traffic twice. He must have sprinted 'cuz he was 400 feet in front of me with 2-1/2 miles to go. I finally caught up to him on a couple of uphills and said, outloud, "Take that mofo", as I went by him.

Is that normal...?

dg, were you using the training mode to help slow you down? It sure sounded like you were racing your virtual training partner.

Insane workout today with crazy fast winds above 20 mph. Started off with a 5 minute timed run which I felt no need to try very hard on, 1300m I made it....we're peaking for the end of the season, why are we doing distance??? Then 3x200 in 37, 35, 31. Then 3x400 in 1:13, 1:11, and 1:10. Then 6x200 but it was supposed to be 8 times...I guess we lucked out that we had the leniant coach. 30, 30, 30, 28, 29, and 29. Didn't help too much that we had to run to the bathrooms for water and that it was like 87 degrees out...too hot for running hard. Tomorrow's meet should be interesting.

5k power walk after work. Took my usual running route too. It felt good to get on familiar pathways..it did the spirit good if anything.

From my place I walked down Centre St Bridgeto Eau Claire Market
which is downtown along the Bow River, then I walked north through Prince's Island Park up Crescent Heights stairs , along the hill stop overlooking downtown to back home.
