Good morning, everyone. I hope everybody had a good weekend.

Looks like we had some nice races this weekend! Ailarie, Radioyada, LLSandbagberg, Pacer, Biah, Moon... Did I forget anyone? Some good work from you folks.

To recap for myself, I had a great 21.4 mile run on Saturday. Somehow, Mile 21 was 30 seconds faster than any other mile I ran that day. I have no idea how I did that. I almost think the Garmin had a hiccup. But I hope not.

Yeah, there's one more day in the month, but I fly off to Vegas this afternoon for work, so it looks like I'll be stuck on 201.2 for March. I will happily take it. Methinks I'll get barely half of that in April. We'll see.

Have a great day of running (etc), everybody!

Way to go racers!!!! You all did a great job!

Yoga and the elliptical for me today. My hamstring is still a bit tight. Always makes for a fun yoga day! My mileage for this month is 109.1. That's an all time high for me. Yay!

HAve a great day!

Really good racing this weekend, people.... LLifeelbadinevercallyouLLnamesbut Larryisoneofmyfavoritenamesburg, Biah, Moonie, Prae, Ali (you toughing it out makes me feel better about my half....i'm doing all the typical crap...so thanks for sharing), Pacer.

Oh that reminds me.... Pacer they guy in my running group knows you.
Me: do you know Pacer Chris (ok. i used your grown up name)
Other Pacer: Yes! Yes! I do! He's a great guy!
Me: yeah he is. totally nuts.
Other Pacer: Yeah!

Voo I meant to tell you... I'm totally sending you good knee vibes. Not only does it suck to hurt, but also I know this must be driving you ape shit.

I have a scheduled off day today. In fact, I think all I have on the schedule is one 6 mile run. I might ride the bike or something. I have 71 miles for the month which is by far my highest milage yet. I should get more in April, I think.

Mandaroo Honestly...who DOESN'T know about the greatness of me?! Kidding - who is it? George?

Surprisingly not as sore as I thought I'd be - I think working around the house last night loosened me up a bit.

Good runs over the weekend to everyone - some nice race results, good long runs, and people scrambling to cap off a big March.

Wow it was hard getting up this morning.

Going to try for 7 recovery miles today.

For those who missed post late night post last night here's my race report from the weekend.

http://www.kickrunners.com/forum/sho...149#post708149

Some fitness related good news. I got the Cholesterol results from my blood donation in March. This year my number was 204 and last year in March it was 215. So that is a very nice move in the right direction. One year of running and cross training almost has me to the sub 200 point which is the desirable level. Cool

No running scheduled today. I am, however, getting a massage at 10am. Woohoo! Overall, the muscles are okay from yesterday. They're a little sore, but not to the point of making me walk funny or anything. The knee is still a bit sore, but I figure in a day or two, it should be back to normal.

I "may" walk 1-2 on the TM today. Haven't decided that yet.

Roo - when is your half? (or are you referring to one in the past?)

Good Morning Everyone!

Some really great races and runs over the weekend from the group!

My left shoulder is killing me this morning, but my left hip and leg feel okay so it's all good. I'm not sure if I'll try to run today or not, I'll decide in a little while. I had a hard time getting comfortable in bed last night, so I didn't sleep all that great.

Today starts the gradual taper for Boston! The mileage doesn't drop off too severely this week, but there is only one harder workout-a tempo-scheduled. I'll be dropping most of the doubles, though. I think I'll also mix in a day off in the last two weeks. My last day off was February 6th when I was sick, I've got a little streak going.

If I don't run, I'll end at 320 for March. A good number, but a lot less than planned. I raced more than on the schedule, so I replaced some real runs with recoveries.

Have great runs and workouts today, everyone!

Nice job this weekend people. I'll try to catch up on the RR today.

I did manage to get a couple of short runs in, although the part of Fort Worth we were in was not that runner friendly, but at least I ran.

Sunday. I'm doing all they typical 'f-me i am way slow' (like 12:50 ish miles for a distance that long), I missed a week of training with bronchitis, my ten was hell, (i came home, showered, and put on my jammies...) how am i going to do three more, etc.
but.... another part of me knows my coach is the shit, if he says it'll be fine, i should trust that... i had sparkling wine and pecans for dinner the night before my 10 and Hank dog with me (which doubles the effort of my work...) for 5 of them, and it was hilly. Mostly though, i'm just thinking, "f -it. it'll be what it'll be and then it'll be over." Kind of like my dissertation defense. I told my dad, "if Advisor does kick my ass... I'll settle in and take it... I can take anything for a couple hours and then it'll be over..."

Anyway.
for whatever reason, your rr helped me so thanks!

What a great weekend of racing and running for everyone. It was fun to keep checking in and reading about how people did. Nice job everyone!

Weights and cardio on my lunch hour. We're supposed to get 5 - 8 inches of snow today. That pisses me off.

Good runs/rests to all today!

Must get back on schedule.

Back from my 5 miles. They kinda hurt, but I'm glad I didn't wuss out and shorten the run. Today's run brought me up to 67 miles for March, which blows away my previous monthly best (37.5 in September). This week is scheduled to be 18 miles which will be a weekly high. I'm not sure how I'm going to feel about doing all those miles, but hopefully they will pay off for my (real) 10k in just under 3 weeks.

Have good runs (and rests) today!
