<p>Wow, 1:30 PM EST and no thread-starters yet? Am I missing a zombie invasion or something?</p>

<p>Meh 5 miler. First two a reasonable sub-8 pace, but finished up at 8:35s. Windy and kind of cold ... still waiting for better weather.</p>

<p>Masters swim today, ended up with 3000m.  Pretty easy, mostly consisted of 200m and 400m sets.</p>

<p>Got a 1.5 hour ride on the schedule, will probably happen on the trainer.  Sunny, but cold out today.</p>

<p>5 mile recovery run to start the 3-wks taper.  Still 45mpw ahead of me.  My quads are sore from the hilly long run yesterday.  Calf/foot is good, though.  Core/weights later. </p>

<p>Standard little run after getting the house cleaning and laundry done. Waiting to see if the school will let our son be on the track team after he fractured his left pinky finger and bruised the bone in his right forearm in a crash on a snowboard last Friday. Track practice starts today and he may not be able to run decently for a few days yet.</p>

Cool/about 50 - cloudy and windy. Crawford/Grinnell to Powers turnaround to Fontaine turnaround to Crawford/Upton/home. Easy pace run. Stretching afterward.</p>

Busy day for me...<br><br>
2 mile keep-the-streak-alive run for me on the treadmill at a hotel gym. Took time to stretch and work deeply on the calf. Think the forced 8 miles of walking on it around the Washington mall, hobbling for the first 7 befor transitioning into something resembling a real walk... That helped greatly. Now thinking that there's a chance I can heal by Boston. Could more days will tell.<br><br>
Spent the rest of the day in a car. Now in Myrtle Beach where it's just as cold as it is back home. Boo.

<p>12 miles with 10 at marathon pace. Felt great and I was smiling at the end so that's a good sign. I'm glad I moved it to today since I was in a much better frame of mind than yesterday.</p>
