Good day everyone!

I posted my Race Report for the weekend here.

I had a swim scheduled for this morning but I decided to move it to tomorrow since today will be hectic day with Dr. appt this morning, soccer practice with high school, bowling, and then soccer try outs with travel league tonight. I plan on squeezing a 6 mile run in there somewhere.

Happy training everyone.

David--do you get more than 24hrs in your day?!

"Rest" day for me. That just means no workouts. First of four loads of laundry already in the washer. Need to move the firewood off the front porch, carrying all of it because my garden wagon broke. Then, start cutting/splitting the rest. Front garden needs weeded. And there's always the "mom's been gone all weekend" cleaning that needs to be done.

Dave- that does sound like a busy day

Mom- enjoy the 'rest'...

Rest day for me as well. Legs are feeling quite toasty today. Gonna be a light running week for me w/ recovery from yesterday and all the new baby mess. I am in limbo about a 10K at the end of the month. Never run a 10K before.

Good luck on the runs and rest today. I got the long run in last night, wound up at 13.1. Started off near 80 and sunny and cooled down as the sun set, I was conservative at the beginning and picked it up the last few miles. Not sure what's on tap for today.

Good morning everyone. I read all the race reports from yesterday and it seems everyone did a great job.

I got out today for some race week speed work. I put in 3X(3X.25 miles). Rest was 200 between the .25 miles and 400 between each set.

1:46; 1:45; 1:40; 1:44; 1:34; 1:38; 1:44; 1:37; 1:37

Overall after looking at the numbers I am satisfied with them. Now I just need to hold these paces and such for 3.1 miles.

5.5 miles total for the day.

Quick good morning here, then into a meeting I go.

Feeling OK after yesterday's race. No post-race soreness, just generally all-over TIRED today. Calendar says rest day. Why thank you very much, I'll take that rest day. It will be a recovery week for me as well, just light running and probably a little more cross-training. Basically I have a 3-4 week window now where I can do whatever I want, that is until mid-July when Chicago Marathon training commences. Sounds like a good time to coast on fitness and knock down some good 5k and track times.

I'll work on a real race report today, hopefully. One thing is for sure. I definitely haven't done my last long trail race. As hard as it was, it was a blast.

Dave - looking forward to reading the race report a little later.

4BM - yeah, love those "rest" days. I should mention I need to cut the grass when I get home.

BBS - sounds like you and I are in the same boat with the need for recovery, well OK, except for new baby part. Small details, I know.

zrun - nice long one yesterday

kevin - good job on the speedwork

Hawk - rest those legs!

kfuller - nice job on the 400s.

zrun - with a late long run, a non running day seems to be in order

BBS - a well deserved rest. I find that the 10k is one of the hardest distances to pace right. It's very easy to go out too fast and flame out.

4boysmom - have fun with power gardening

Dave - Sounds like a busy day. Nice race report.

Rest day for me. Legs trashed.

Hi everyone. Today I was up early for some p90x. We cut it short with 15 minutes to go, b/c mr jebba wrenched a back muscle. Ahh, getting old sucks. Then 3 miles walk/run at the Y.
