My 13.1 mile training run yesterday went as well as could be expected- 70 degrees (hottest temps we've seen since last August 14th), full sun, no shade, and undertrained. The reason for this race was to help rebuild my running base prior to my first tri in July. I definitely have that down. The extra bonus was the hot weather- I was able to play around with my nutrition. I wasn't completely successful as I could not stop crampin in the last 3 miles, but I definitely wan't nauseated or bloated. And the even better news, I'm not too sore today. My hips feel good, legs feel good... only the chafing remains.

So today is a DOR with more stretching!!!

Late afternoon quickie run...hit the treadmill for about 3.25. Pretty sore from yesterday's swim and weight workout, but the run seemed to help loosen everything up a bit. Kiddos are suddenly fascinated with the treadmill, so they have been taking turns on it at 0.5mph. Pretty darn cute.

3 miles on the Monday night fun run. My back held up, which is a nice change, but the rest of me is fat and out of shape.. considering a "new" race to try to Motivate me, that or rugby.
