Good morning, TEAM LIT!

Me...

4 mile run early this morning.

Was looking my splits from this year's Mount Washington Road Race verses last year's. This year I ran 20 seconds faster. So it's interesting to see where I gained that time. In reality, I ran exactly the same race.

Great day, Friends!

DOR for me today and yesterday although yesterday I did swim a mile in the lake with the hubster so he wasn't swimming alone. Nice easy pace and casual swim for me. His first OWS of the season.

Saturday I rode hard for 31 and then did last 15 at a more subdued pace with a friend who was also looking to get in 45 or so miles on the day. Nice to not have to deal with predicted rain for last 15.

Good day and hopefully a good week for all.

Damn, Thor - you're a badass. Whatever happened to just managing to hobble downstairs in pain? Congrats on your second - and I'm sure not last - conquering of the peak.

Almost 20 mile ride at lunch - just a great day out there in NH. First of the true summery beach rides (people splashing about in the cold water and screaming, pedestrians with beach chairs, etc). Just gorgeous temps and a tang of salty cool...

Picked up the wheels for a build last night.... The new bike is just a few steps short of reality ... V. exciting (okay - just a bike, but the first new one since '97...and probably the last as well).

Hobbling downstairs in pain is over-rated! :)

Thanks for the good words. I have a feeling that unfortunately next year there will be no Mount Washington -- unless I get in via lottery. Reason is because I got in this year due to being a Mountain Goat (doing all mountain races in the series) but this year I will more than likely miss one. The year before I got in due to volunteering efforts. So unless I get the in via the lottery next year, I don't think it'll happen. Which is okay. I'll probably do my own Mt. Washington in training run style.

As for you, you should be excited about the new bike! And you're right, it is a magnificent day here in the New England area. Tomorrow should be just as nice for your bike miles!

Moving around some dificulties and pains from the yesterday's crash. In sports bra (to air out the raw skin). Would love to run... straight forward movment hurts less compared to getting in/out of the car, bending over etc. My inner voice tells me running is good for me now.

Got out early with Bailey the Wonder Dog for a run...took her for about 1.6, then finished up on my own for 3.2 total. Poor pooch...I haven't taken her with me in probably 2 weeks and she was exhausted. Amazing that she used to go up to 8 with me when she was younger. Now....2.5 tops. But still not bad for an almost 10 year old dog. :)

Thor, did you notice 5 of the top 6 men and the top 2 women in the Mt. Washington race were from Colorado? They all race around here too. The second place man is the cross country coach at a school a mile from my house. He and the 6th place guy tied for first in that 25K trail race I did a couple months ago, and the 6th place guy won the Run to the Shrine race I did a few weeks ago. Nice guys.

Basic daily run today. I was trying to wait out the wind and rain, but only the rain quit. The wind got even worse. New shoes today. I got some Merrell Trail Gloves. They're like the VFF without the toe pockets. Very lightweight. I've got a couple trail races in the next month or so and I may use them.

Warm/upper 60s - Sunny and extreme wind. Crawford/Puckett/Security/Kiva/Fontaine/Grinnell/Crawford/Upton/home. Short easy effort run. High wind warnings today made it difficult. New shoes today. Stretching afterward.

Couldn't decide between a 4 mile run and the 6 mile version of the same route, so settled on 5. Legs quite tired lately.

Some sort of swim workout this evening, too.

Yosh - I hope everything starts to loosen up soon!

My left hamstring tightened up on me after my run yesterday. Decided to just stick with my Masters swim group tonight. Of course we did kick sprints for what seemed like forever...

90 min DT Massage. Hurt tons. Thanked my massage therapist. He's been with me almost the entire journey from fatso to ironman. We had a moment. He hurt me. I ran away.

Yo peeps :) Been awhile since I posted. Been looking for a new job.

I got out on a 33 mile ride this morning, good hammering in there. changed my bike position a bit as my knee has been bothering. Raised seat and pushed forward. Think it felt great. Nice to start at 5am when there is little traffic.

Later hope to get in 4000m, just 8 x 500, mix of swim and pull, RI 20s. See how that goes. Last time I made it to 6 x 500. Kind of boring, but its at an outdoor pool, so that's nice. Have a good one.
