Whatever happened to just managing to hobble downstairs in pain? Congrats on your second - and I'm sure not last - conquering of the peak.

Almost 20 mile ride at lunch - just a great day out there in NH. First of the true summery beach rides (people splashing about in the cold water and screaming, pedestrians with beach chairs, etc). Just gorgeous temps and a tang of salty cool...

Picked up the wheels for a build last night.... The new bike is just a few steps short of reality ... V. exciting (okay - just a bike, but the first new one since '97...and probably the last as well).

Hobbling downstairs in pain is over-rated!

Thanks for the good words. I have a feeling that unfortunately next year there will be no Mount Washington -- unless I get in via lottery. Reason is because I got in this year due to being a Mountain Goat (doing all mountain races in the series) but this year I will more than likely miss one. The year before I got in due to volunteering efforts. So unless I get the in via the lottery next year, I don't think it'll happen. Which is okay. I'll probably do my own Mt. Washington in training run style.

As for you, you should be excited about the new bike! And you're right, it is a magnificent day here in the New England area. Tomorrow should be just as nice for your bike miles!
